I'm home
5littleladies wrote: Well after spending the morning in the ER with an awesome doctor and a whole slew of tests (including a CAT scan) we believe I have severe anxiety. All my tests were normal. I have an appointment set up with my regular doctor to see what can be done about my anxiety. I'm glad I'm ok but I feel stupid.
coasterqueen replied: ((HUGS)) Jennifer. When you go see your regular doctor talk to them about vertigo as well. That's what happened to me, the same thing as you, and I was diagnosed with vertigo. I started getting it when I was pg with Kylie and passed out in the bowling alley. My doc just chalked it up to too much stress, etc. I thought the same thing as I was under quite a bit of stress then, but then I noticed times when I'd have "episodes" then after I had Megan I started having TONS more of them.
Hope you getting feeling better.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Hope you get what can help you. And it better to ere on the side of caution and get checked out early, than to wait until you pass out and noone is there to call for help, because it was something more serious that was demanding your attention.
take it easy
MommyToAshley replied: You shouldn't feel stupid. It's good to get it checked out. And anxiety can be a serious problem with real symptoms... and it's good that you know what is wrong so you can work on preventing anxiety attacks. I am sure I had an anxiety attack when Ashley was only a few weeks old. I never went to the doctor, but I am pretty sure now that is what it was. It's nothing to feel stupid about.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Don't feel dumb. I'm glad you got it figured out. If it had been me, I probably would have just complained about it forever, and put off going to the doctor until it wasn't bothering me anymore ~ which would be bad if it turned out to be something serious.
I'm glad you're ok!
luvmykids replied: Anxiety attacks are more common than people think. Glad you went to the doctor.
kimberley replied: i am glad it is not serious. there are lots of effective ways to control anxiety and it is very common. hope you are feeling better soon.
BAC'sMom replied: Glad your ok try to take it easy
Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Glad to hear that your o.k.!! Take it easy and let us know how your doctor appt. goes.
Kaitlin'smom replied: never feel stupid about havign something checked out as important as yoru health. Glad they think they knwo what it is and you can talk to your doc about it. Hoep you dont have any more.
gr33n3y3z replied: I'm glad all the tests were good and you should not feel stupid I'm glad you went and got checked out
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I'm glad you are okay. Don't feel stupid at all. Like everyone else said...it can be serious if you don't get it taken care of. I'm sorry you are having anxiety attacks, though. I'm almost positive I've had them, too. I just never went to the doctor for it.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Yep same here. I know I had them - and I had social anxiety. Still have a bit of trouble with that one but not as much as before. I never got anything diagnosed either though - I hate going to the doctor.
A&A'smommy replied: OH at least now you know what is wrong and you shouldn't feel stupid anixety is a crazy thing sometimes now at least you can learn to manage it!! I'm glad to know you are okay!!!
