I'm going to cry!
MM'sMama wrote: Caroline has been up since 2 am and wont go back to sleep. She is beyond fussy and I have done and checked everything I can. I know this is just one of those "wonderful" nights. But all I want to do is cry! I am so over tired right now and the only thing that makes her settle down some is if I walk her. My arms and back are tired I'm 2 seconds from breaking down into tears myself. I even tried taking her for a drive earlier didn't help at all. NOTHING is helping.
Ok thank you for letting me vent I feel a lot better now !
My3LilMonkeys replied: To you. It will get better!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I am sorry! We had a strech of a few LOOOONNNGGGG nights like that when Tay was about 7 weeks old-I would just cry with her too! It did not last long for us-I hope the same holds true for you! to you!!!
MommyToAshley replied: I'm so sorry. There can be some rough nights in the beginning, but just try to remember that it WILL get better. Is there someone that can come help you so you can get a power nap?
luvbug00 replied: I remember those nights. I hope you are able to catch some sleep soon. Hang in there!
3xsthefun replied: I'm so sorry! I remember those nights! Hopefully you won't have go through to many more of those. Hope Miss Caroline decides go to sleep so you can catch up on your rest!
mckayleesmom replied: Maybe you can put her in her stroller and take her for a walk...maybe the fresh air will tire her out.
my2monkeyboys replied: I'm so sorry! I know how tiresome and frustrating those nights can be. Just remember, though, it will not make you a bad mommy if you just put her in her crib and shut the door for a little while. If she's not hurt, then laying there while you are on the other side of the house will not harm her. You need a break too and it's better than you getting so tired and frustrated that you can't function. Maybe you can call on DH or a mom or MIL or even a close friend to take over for an hour or 2 while you rest? It will get better... it will get better....
holley79 replied: I'm sorry sweetie. If you lived closer you could have dropped her to me. I got up at 2 also.
A&A'smommy replied: UGH boy do I remember those nights!!!!! It will get better I hope you get some rest today!!!
kimberley replied: sorry hon. i had one of those nights too hang in there and try to nap today.
MM'sMama replied: Thank you guys I felt so silly for being all weepie . DH really really surprised me. He got up about 30 mins or so after I posted and took over and I got to sleep for a good 3 1/2 hours . He took the day off, got Brice up and made them and myself all breakfast . And he got SIL to watch the kids tonight and took me to dinner . I'm really proud of him .
Thanks for the hugs everyone I really needed them today.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: That sounds wonderful! What a sweet husband! I am glad you got a little sleep and some alone time with your honey too!
PrairieMom replied: I know that its morning now, but for next time...
Try papoosing her tightly in a blanket (the tighter the better) and loudly shooshing in her ear. It really workes if you do it right. It is from some book a guy on Oprah wrote called "the happiest baby on the block" or something like that. It is the only thing that saved our sanity when the boy was tiny. I swear by it.
MM'sMama replied: I'll have to try that thank you so much for the tip!
