YES, this is a very good thing!!! And no more snow tires...although my car is 4 wheel drive anyway. And no more cracked windshields. I can think of so many "no mores"...but I don't want to make CO sound too bad. It really has been great for us, but I'm ready to go HOME! It's been almost 9 years!

Hmmm, haven't thought of it yet. Not a skier, so I don't own a ton of stuff. We do like to snow-shoe though, so guess I won't be needing those. They do get snow in CA, just not where we are going to live. I have it on my to-do list to go through the house and purge all the things we don't need and sell it on craigslist. I can't wait!

Oh you're right, not that I'm looking, but yes, we will be neighbors! My sister has met him, he is a really nice guy. And I used to do wine bottle etchings for Firestone, so back in my twenties (and single) I used to have to drive up and drop off bottles to them. Little did I know they had a handsome son just around my age!

Monica, the partners are giving us temporary housing on their ranch for as long as it takes for us to find a place to live. It's really a great deal. I haven't seen the place, but apparently we will be living in the guest house. You may have to tell me where to get a pair of cowboy boots - I'm talking ranch living, wineries, cows and all!!

Brianne, yes we are putting our house on the market or we may try to rent it since the airforce academy is here and students like to rent. Not sure, but it will all have to happen FAST! I'm not looking forward to packing.

Aimee, PLEASE come visit me...(how was your trip btw)! If anyone knows where Michael Jackson lives, that's not too far off from where we will be. I'm excited, but wow, really rural. It will take about 45 minutes to get to the beach, where my parents live, so it won't be too far. We're in the middle of wineries and big oaks! Checkout the movie "Sideways" and that's exactly where we will be!

DH is excited to be able to drive a four-wheeler around the property for work. I said to him last night "you know that's the first thing the boys will want to do". He said no, thankfully.
