I love them and would eat one every day if they delivered. LOL! I could probably make the same thing at home, but I love the peanut dressing they use and can't find anything similar. My mouth is watering just thinking about it now. blush.gif emlaugh.gif

KatieLeigh79 replied: *fear* its the one thing I can't stand anymore *g* I had that when I was pg with JR and ended up with food poisoning and 7 days of panic and stress tests because with as sick as I was he stopped moving totally because of it for over a week =0) I'd consider trying it again just not sure if I would trust the place down the road as it seems they never cook anything like they are supposed to, or get the order right! blink.gif

Chicken Not Always the Healthiest Fast Food

Chicken Salads and Sandwiches Can Pack More Fat and Calories Than Burgers

Aug. 10, 2004 -- Opting for a chicken salad or sandwich over an old-fashioned burger isn't always the healthiest choice at fast-food restaurants. A new report shows some fast-food chicken salads pack more fat and calories than a Big Mac.

For example, the chicken in Wendy's Mandarin Chicken Salad has only 120 calories and 3 grams of fat, but the bulk of the calories and fat come from the dressing, crispy noodles, and almonds that come with it. Those additions bring the total calorie and fat count to 630 calories and 35 grams of fat, more than the 570 calories and 25 grams of fat in Burger King's Chicken Whopper.

Alice replied: I agree with the previous post... it's certainly not health food. But it sure is great!!

Josie, it's a green salad with mandarine oranges, almonds, crunchy Chinese noodles, and a wonderful peanutty dressing. Loads and loads of calories, but, oh, so good!

coasterqueen replied: I hate salads so I don't know, but it's funny it's mentioned it's not healthy because I thought salads were, lol.

Kaitlin'smom replied:
salads can be healthy but its the "extras" that make it calorie high and fatty. wink.gif you all the stuff that makes it yummy is the bad part. sounds yummy though.

ctymom replied: Yeah, the salad dressings kill the 'healthy' side of getting salad with chicken, but putting 1/2 of the dressing is fine.

I love a couple of the salads with chicken at Friendly's. There are two (i cant remember what they are lol) that i've eaten there and they are great!

MommyToAshley replied: If you are trying to help me kick this addiction... it's not working! LOL! rolling_smile.gif

I think of all those calories, but then I also think of how yummy it is! The yummy wins over the calories every time! blush.gif

Boys r us replied: Haaa..that's the problem I have with EVERYTHING I'm addicted to rolling_smile.gif

I haven't tried that salad yet, but it sounds SOOOO yummy!
I am a big fan of their taco salad!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Is that the new one that is real spicy...thai something or other? I didn't like it as well as the oriental chicken salad that they don't have anymore. dry.gif They do have good dressings though! Mmmm! Might have to get that for dinner. yummy.gif

ETA: I looked at Wendys.com and it seems as though they brought it back....unless they just don't have them around here. I also looked at the nutritional info and it is 630 CALORIES AND 35+ GRAMS OF FAT!! ohmy.gif

laugh.gif Ha! Doesn't it though?? emlaugh.gif
