If you could have one more day....
siblingtooolivia wrote: This Mitch Album guy is on ABC evening news with Katie Couric last nite - he does this what they call "Free Speech" segement, he posed this question last nite...
If you could have one more day with a lost loved one what would you do with them?
And my questions is who would it be? The lost loved one that is....
Me, I would spend the day with my dad telling him all about his two (almost three) grandchildren that he missed - he died at age 60.....(6 years ago) and telling him he was right about certain things that I spent alot of time fighting him on......
my2monkeyboys replied: If it were my grandmother (Nanny), I'd tell her all about Will, bc everytime he does something crazy and funny I think of how much she's have loved him.
Jolyn replied: It would be my dad. He died when i was six months old. I would just like to look in his eyes, give him a hug and fill him in on the last 34.5 years.
amymom replied: Wow! It would be my Mom and I would sit, have a cup of tea and listen to her. Also I would introduce her to her 7 grandchildren, she only met Billy as she died 11 years ago when he was 4 years old.
Gosh, just today (as I was complaining about my MIL) I remembered that if my mom was still here I would probably complain about her too. BUT I surely do miss her.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Wow It would be my Grandpa.I would ask him to tell me all the stories he used to tell me about being a diver for the Navy again all his stories about living in the Antartica. I would tell him how glad I am that he was my Grandpa and I would tell him how much I have missed him and how much I wish that I had seen him more often we moved(as a young teen with my parents) ..he passed away right after Sept. 11 and I wish that he could see Tay,he saw her in pictures and knew she was born. I sure wish she could have known him-he was such a wonderful man-a typical Irish humor, grew up in the Navy-cussed like a sailor-laughed at the blackest things just all around amazing guy ...I miss him more now than I did 5 years ago...I always heard that time heals but for some reason it just feels sadder to me that it has been that long since I have heard him on the phone saying Hey Yabba Dabba Doo
Mommy2Isabella replied: My Dads Father < My grandpa. I have never met him, but I am told I am a lot like him, I would love to meet him and introduce him to Isabella and Sal!!!
redchief replied: Can't watch "The Evening Fluff with Katie Couric." Bill Maher appeared on FoxNews (the O'Reilly Factor of all places) and complained that the "Free Speech" segment isn't anywhere close to free speech. He said it was so badly censored that they never aired his segment because CBS people didn't like that he wished to speak on religion. O'Reilly asked if he was permitted to speak on religion and Maher said they sent over a list of "acceptable topics" for the "Free Speech" segment. Hmmmm.
Here's another link of Maher discussing "Free Speech"
redchief replied: Ooops... During my rant I forgot to answer the question.
If I had one more day, I'd spend it with my family... without interruptions.
mummy2girls replied: Mine would be Jordan so he can see his baby sister Jenna:)
redchief replied: A lost loved one. I totally missed that. Hmmm... that's tougher. If I could spend a day with a lost loved one I'd have to pick two people... My in-laws. I miss them both dearly. They not only made my wife; they passed along their best qualities to her. What I'd really like to have is a day with them that they could share with my kids.
MoonMama replied: My grandpa on my moms side, and just get to know him. He died before I was born and my mom is always telling me how much he would have adored me. I was the first grand daughter born and my mom said he always wanted a grand daughter.
luvmykids replied: Wow, that one caught me off guard. It would definitely be my grandma who passed away about a year before I met DH, her big dream was to see me married and meet my children. I would give anything for her to get to spend a day with her great grandkids and give them some good old fashioned Polish lovin
martzfam27 replied: It would have to be Patricia She would get to meet Lucas then her and I would spend the entire day together - just the two of us. Shopping and doing the usual "girl things" like we once did
My3LilMonkeys replied: My Grandpa (mom's dad) - he died when I was in high school. I'd want to spend a day with him at the beach since that was his favorite place and introduce him to the girls because he always loved being around kids.
