If weGive him MarshMallows, he Would be Okay! - She does love her brother!

Kirstenmumof3 wrote: bawling.gif I could just cry! We got a frantic call from the pediatrician on call Saturday morning. Spencer's blood count was really low and the pediatrician left a message for us. She wanted us to know that they were trying to contact our pediatrician, but so far he has not called back. So I'm listening to what out peditricain said on friday and trying not to worry. Anyway DH and I were in the car today talking about this, Emily was with us and she said "If we give him marshmallows he will be okay!" Spencer has a reaction to Tartrazine. it's a preservative found in lots of food items (Kool Aid, Pudding, Jello Brand Jello, Marshmallows) so we have had to eliminate these things from his diet. I almost broke down in the car. wub.gif She can be so sweet sometimes! If only it were that simple I would pump him full of marshmallows! bawling.gif Deep down she does love her brother! wub.gif

kimberley replied: grouphug.gif p&pt that Spencer is okay. that was really sweet of Emily wub.gif wouldn't be a great world if marshmallows could solve all our problems? lol it just reminds me of what an idealist i was at her age. sweet.

coasterqueen replied: Awww how sweet of her. wub.gif Don't you just love their innocence? wub.gif

MommyToAshley replied: OMG! How sweet is that!!! wub.gif wub.gif You must have wanted to swoop her up and hug her for hours after hearing that! wub.gif

I hope they find out what's going on with Spencer. I thought I read somewhere that the Ped said not to worry, when did this happen again? I hope it turns out to be nothing serious, please keep us posted. In the meantime, I will say an extra prayer. grouphug.gif

Yes the Pediatrician that we saw last Friday told us not to worry. But he ordered some more blood work. I guess the lab tried to call him Saturday with the results, but couldn't get a hold of him so they called the Pediatrician on call at the Hospital and then she called us in a panic. I have no idea what his white blood count is supposed to be and no one has explained to me what could happen. I'm trying so hard to be optimistic, not easy though. Every cough, sniffle and sneeze I panic. I swear I kiss his forehead more than ever to see if he has a fever (he keeps giving me the "MOM, GET AWAY LOOK" whenever I do it! We still haven't heard from our pediatrician, so I guess that's a good sign!

loveydad replied: woops double post

loveydad replied: Most siblings do, deep down.

My twins V and K will pick and fight and just be little brats to eac other. They ag each other on, they fight--- but deep down, thats his bubba and you don't mess with him.

I've seen kids being mean to Kel and vincent wont stand for it. he just walks up and says "Hey, thats my brother, and you better get your fat face away from him!" (horrible, and he dind't learn it from me, but its the thought that counts!)

Also there isn't a night that goes by where I don't find Kel and Vincent cuddled up in the same bed together. I tuck them in seperate, in seperate rooms, but they end up together. It's so cute too because they're always holding on to each other like they'll never let go!

Ps: I hope they find out whats going on soon. Emily is indeed a sweet kid.
