Iain is starting daycare on friday - I am so nervous!!

Schnoogly wrote: Friday is his "free" day, then he will start full time on Monday. They are letting us use our cloth diapers but I had to buy a diaper genie for them to use. Now I have to cut each diaper out of the plastic to wash them!! Oh well it's worth it to not have to buy disposables. Less plastic to waste in the diaper genie than the disposables.

I am just freaked out that he's going to behave awfully, or cry all day. My cell phone won't ring so I'm sure I'll be just holding it in my hand waiting for it to light up with a call...plus he goes for his 6 month shots (2 months late because of surgery) on wednesday so I hope he won't be too cranky because of that!

amynicole21 replied: Oh, it's a stressful thing for sure!! Hugs coming your way! I've been there, trust me!! Don't forget, you can call them to check on him, too!! Any way you can visit him at lunchtime?

Schnoogly replied: That's true. Is every half hour too often to call LOL??

Yes I don't actually have to go in to work until afternoon (45 min away) so I will go see him before I go to work. I will be working at home in the morning. Or cleaning, finally!!!

CantWait replied: Good Luck to Iain, I'm sure he'll love it rolling_smile.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: wink.gif Hope all goes well Stephanie! Don't worry I'm sure he will be just fine! I'm so glad to hear that they are accomdating your cloth diapers, I wish I had used those! Let us know how Iain makes out! wink.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: I worried alot at first when Kaitlin went to the sitters, but since I got to go see her during luch that helped me. Call if you worry to much I am sure they wont mind, anything to put you more at ease. Glad they are going to let use continure with your cloth dipers, they really sound interesting and have come a long way since I was little! Once he gets used to it I am sure he will love it. Hugs and ket us know how it goes!

mummy2girls replied: I know how you feel(((HUGS))). Im sure he will be ok. My first time i left jen at her daycare was nerveracking. I always thought how she was and what was going on. Call as often as you want to ease your mind and remeber pop in a few times as a surprise. Itll take time to get used to..i think its harder on the mom than it is on the child.

Good luck and please let me know how it went

catou_98 replied: Good luck.....I hope everything goes well, I'm sure he'll be an angel and you're worried for nothing! wink.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Good luck... I am confident Iain will be ok, it's you that I'm worried about. hehe. Seriously, he will do fine, you'll see! Be sure to let us know how it goes! <<HUGS>>

supermom replied: Nods, I think little ones are much easier adjusted to new situations. I think it's harder on the parents. I am sure that he'll do fine and that he'll probably have a great time being around all of the other kids. Be sure to let us know how it goes, and how things go with you too......grouphug.gif

MomofTay&Sam replied: I think Iain will do just fine mommy. I would be nervous to though. Calling will ease your mind alot. Good luck to you both.

Heather replied: AW! BIg Hugs! It might take some time to adjust! I bet he will be just fine! HOpe it all works out!!

coasterqueen replied: grouphug.gif I remember that first day at daycare. bawling.gif UGH! I hope everything goes smoothly. Please let us know how it goes.

BTW, great idea on the diaper genie and cloth diapers! I use disposables for Kylie, but I would love to use cloth when I have another one. I just wasn't for sure what to do about daycare. Thanks!

Hillbilly Housewife replied: So........how did it go?

(sorry if I missed another post....I'm just going through the posts now!!!)
