I wonder if she knows...
Calimama wrote: DH is finally on his way home this morning. Left a couple hours ago and should be here tonight. I didn't say anything to Bella because 1. nothings ever for sure in the Marine Corps and 2. I don't think she'd understand. Well this morning we woke up and came downstairs and she goes right to the door with her stuffie saying dadadadadadadadadadadada and hasn't moved since. I wonder if she knows.. or if it's just a coincidence. Except for a couple days after he left she didn't do that the entire month.
luvmykids replied: Either way, very sweet!
moped replied: It amazes me what do they pick up on at that tender age!
Boo&BugsMom replied: I agree. That would probably make me smile and cry at the same time.
bawoodsmall replied: She's smart. I bet she knows.
BabyOwen427 replied: How old is she? I'm curious because at the end of Sept Curtis is leaving for BCT and AIT for 5 months and I am worried about how Owen is going to take it. Right now he cries at the door when he leaves for work. I can't imagine how he's going to deal without daddy for 5 months. I don't even know how I am going to deal without daddy for 5 months.
I think she knows her daddy is comming home. Give her lots of love.
momtoMegan&Alyxandria replied: Me too. I wonder what that lovely story will do to dada. I bet a Marine melts.
Calimama replied: She's almost 13 months. The first time he left for 4 months she was 6 months old and he came home when she was about 10 months, she didn't recognize him right away but about an hour into playing she did.
This time he's only been gone a month and she noticed a lot more, for the first week she woke up in the middle of the night crying, I don't know if it's related to him being gone, but it's not something she does when he's here. He couldn't talk on the phone much this time but when he could he would talk to her and she would get excited when she heard his voice. I also show her pictures a lot and a video of him.
Owen will do okay. He might be a little more sensitive for a while but he'll adapt like most kids do. Pictures, video recordings, and sleeping with daddy's t-shirt do a wonder of good for them.
If you need anything while he's gone.. a laugh.. a vent... to cry PM me. We all go through the same thing.. no matter what branch they are in.
A&A'smommy replied: Awww I bet she knows!!!
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: That is so bizarre but even more SWEET ! Bet that story is gonna melt Daddy's heart.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Awwww that's so sweet! I think she definately senses that something is happening!
lovemy2 replied: Kids - even babies are pretty perceptive - maybe she picked up on it from you - I imagine your mood has lightened considerably
Glad he is on his way
