I win the bad parent award - for today

redchief wrote: Lisa was resting so it was up to me to make sure the girls got off to school this morning. I was up at 7:00AM and made sure Erin was all set for school. We said our good-byes and I was feeling pretty good about myself. I was also still really tired since I didn't get to bed until late last night. So, secure in the knowledge that I'd done good, I went back to bed for another couple hours.

Fast forward, 9:00AM, Lisa wakes me up and asks, "Did you forget to wake up Kaitlin?"

"Umm... yep." So I had to drive Kaitlin to school, she'd missed her first period class. I'm a bad father. dry.gif

cameragirl21 replied: Don't worry, Ed, I'm sure Kaitlin didn't mind.... wink.gif

mom2my2cuties replied: Awww man...smile.gif It's hard being "super dad"

luvmykids replied: Oops. BTDT, once I got the twins ready to go somewhere and we got in the car and they started screaming that we forgot Macie. She was still sound asleep blush.gif

redchief replied:
No, and the funniest thing was I had to sign a form; you know, one of those "I have reviewed and agree to follow these rules," forms. The first line was about parents making sure kids attend and are on time. I got to take the form to the office in person this morning. Kaitlin thought the irony was quite amusing. Fortunately I have a good rapport with the school office staff and the only person they were really worried about was Lisa.

Kaitlin'smom replied: Oh NO forgot about child 2 to get up. ohmy.gif poor dad, hard work huh? So whats her favorite dinner, sounds like dad should be making that tonight rolling_smile.gif

BTW do they have there own alram clocks so maybe they can help wake up for you on time?

redchief replied:
laugh.gif I cooked her favorite last night. laugh.gif

I'll figure something out, though she wasn't really angry at all.

CantWait replied: rolleyes.gif To funny.

redchief replied:
Oops. Missed the alarm clock question. Erin and Kaitlin share an alarm clock. Either Erin or I wake Lisa, who usually wakes Kaitlin. Up until now she hasn't really needed her own alarm. We discussed that this morning. I think Katie's getting her own. emlaugh.gif

A&A'smommy replied: emlaugh.gif don't feel bad those things happen, your NOT a bad father not today not ever!!! hug.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: rolling_smile.gif It happens to all of us!!

How's Lisa today? hug.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
Well at least you know one christmas gift for her laugh.gif or she can give you one laugh.gif

Glad she was not mad.

C&K*s Mommie replied: To make up for it, maybe tomorrow you can forget to wake up Erin. wink.gif

You are still a great father in their eyes. happy.gif
