I want to live here
Edward's Mommy wrote: This is a BEAUTIFUL 3 bedroom townhouse that DH and I want to move to. Here is the floorplan for the 3 bedroom http://www.iliffplace.com/3_20_Bedroom_20_Floorplan.html, it has three floors!
kit_kats_mom replied: Have you ever lived in a place with stairs after you had the baby? We lived in a two story for K's first year and a half. It was a PITA! Never failed that whatever floor I was on, the diapers, wipes whatever, were on the other floor. ARGH Lets not even mention the numerous heart attacks you get watching your toddler try to go up and down the stairs.
moped replied: I have a 2 story house and there is a gate at the top and bottom - HEART ATTCKS!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Yeah, we'll never live in a 2 story.
But, that's a nice place if you guys like it! I wish you luck!
holley79 replied: Oh I love that floor plan. I want a single story so bad I can't stand myself.
C&K*s Mommie replied: That looks very nice! Are you guys going to get into something like that?
CAMSMOM1 replied: That looks awesome Brandi. It's really spacious, and the 2 car garage is great. I hope you guys can move in soon, I know you really need that extra room. How exciting!
kayla's mama replied: Looks awesome!!!! Hope you guys get it!!!!!
But I have to agree.....living in a 2 story is a pain in the bootie. Our bedroom is the only bedroom downstairs, so Kayla is upstairs. It really freaks me out. The first week she was up there I slept so light I could hear a pin drop and go flying out of bed
Edward's Mommy replied: We figured that we would buy gates for the stairs. The second floor has a bedroom and we figured that we would put the baby there. Obviously the loft/3rd floor would be our room. And the main floor bedroom would be for storage. The second floor would be where we would spend most of our time. And that's partly why we would put the baby there. But I LOVE it! The ceiling is so high and there's huge windows near the ceiling and it's so huge for a townhouse. They look small from the outside, but once you go in, they are so huge! I didn't feel like I was in a townhouse, let's just say that!
Edward's Mommy replied: The only thing Chris said he didn't like was there was no place for Edward to go and play outside. But I told him that he wouldn't be going outside by himself until he was maybe 10 or so and I told him that maybe by that time, we could rent that out and buy a house. Assuming by that time we'll have another baby.
luvmykids replied: Is it near a park or anything? Does it have a courtyard or anyplace at all? I think you should look around just to make sure there's nothing you like better, but I love it!
PhiMuMommy replied: that is nice. is this a consideration? or just a want to??
Edward's Mommy replied: A little of both. Right now, we're not sure if we want to continue to live in apartments or buy/rent a townhouse. These are new so we would buy this one. But this is the first townhouse we've looked at. Right now, the main issue is we have no room for all of our stuff and I still have things at my parents house that I have to move out.
Edward's Mommy replied: There isn't anything within the townhouses, but there is a park that's in my parents neighborhood and they live 3 minutes away from us now and that townhouse is only across the main street. But I know a few parks that are around that I could take Edward and the dog to.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Looks nice! Hope you guys get it! But I must agree, we have three floors, two floors and then a finished basement, so two sets of stairs and it is a PITA with little ones. DH just slipped on the stairs this morning and spilled coffee on the carpet I just had cleaned! He does it at least once a month...scares me with kids. I would prefer a ranch style home if we ever move. But the stairs does help me stay fit though!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I KWYM. We live in a two story house, and very soon after Andrew was born I started keeping diapers and wipes on both floors. His clothes are up in his room, but there is usually a laundry basket of his clean clothes down here somewhere. He hasn't started trying to climb the stairs yet but we have a gate to put at the bottom and we'll get another for the top soon.
Even with all the hassle, though, I would much rather live in a two story house than a one story. I grew up in an old farmhouse and one story houses are weird to me.
