I visited with my father today - He gave me a great gift.. pics

TANNER'S MOM replied: My father playing on a swing set. Tanner makes this same facial expession. The oldest girl beside him is my cousin Connie..she passed away that same year.

TANNER'S MOM replied: This me and my Aunt. She is mental retarded and suffers from cerbal palsy. Since my Grandmother has passed my father is now her care giver.

TANNER'S MOM replied: This is my favorite Uncle.. Uncle Don. Everyone knows my father raised me. But it took a village for a single father. My Uncle Don, he was so good to me. He never missed a birthday, Christmas. He would take me places like the city pool everyday on his lunch break when I was a teenager so I didnt have to stay home alone.

redchief replied: Thanks for sharing, Mel. That your uncle was so much a part of your growing up strikes me as special, nearly as much as your dad raising you. My uncle lives literally six blocks from my parents and I don't ever recall seeing him on any of my special days as I grew up.
