I thought that today would be a really rotten

Boys r us wrote: day b/c I was supposed to have my first OB appt today and have my 1st ultrasound and then I miscarried again. But I went ahead and kept my scheduled day off from work and I also kept my OB/GYN apt as a follow-up. I thought I'd be bummed out today, but I'm not, I actually have a new found sense of hope after seeing my regular ob/gyn doctor this morning! He said he thinks that I had a chemical pregnancy which he said means that my egg was fertilized and I was pregnant, but that my body realized that something was wrong with the fertilized egg and didn't allow it to implant. He said that I have 2 perfectly healthy kids and that I shouldn't be discouraged at all and that if I wanted I could wait a month b/c the egg could have tried to implant and my uterus lining may need to heal if that happened, but that he wasn't telling me to wait any certain time frame before trying again b/c the m/c was so early and b/c I didn't have to have a d & c.
Soooo, then he smiled at me and said he expected to see me back in his office in a month pregnant! So...we'll see! At first I didn't think I wanted to try again, but now, I feel encouraged and ready to give it another go. Perhaps you'll see an exicted post by me in a month or so!

Also, my boss called me on my cell phone and told me that I had the most beautiful bouquet of flowers at work waiting on me..I guess Rick forgot I was off from work today, she said I better come get them b/c everyone was swooning over them. I was suprised b/c I told Rick not to waste his money on flowers..they're so expensive on V-day and plus he's taking me out to a fabulous yet expensive dinner tonight...and well, the bottom line is I hate when he spends so much money on me for Vday b/c I NEVER KNOW WHAT TO GET HIM!! Actually you all would die laughing if I told you what I got him..well you all know we do investment property on the side and right now we're building a house at the lake and with all of the snow we've had his feet have been getting soaking wet through his work boots when he goes to check the job..and he's been mentioning how he needed a pair of waterproof work boots...lol...yup..that's what I got him..$130 pair of boots to work in I couldn't come up with anything else..everything as far as vday gifts go is so geared towards women, it's hard. But he was THRILLED with the boots..I'm so embarrassed!

Here are my flowers, the card was funny, I had jokingly told him I wanted 100 roses for vday and so in his card he wrote, "I love you! I'm 88 roses short but I had to give you something to look forward to for next v-day!"

lol .... I bought DH a rifle one year, everyone thought I was psycho except the other guys at the gun store, who thought I was the coolest wife ever!

No brenda, it's along the same lines as Ruth's Chris, but I like this place a little better, it's locally owned, it's my fave restaurant! It's called Frankie Rowland's. The best food I've ever put in my mouth...ever! Plus(and I know I've raved about this before..sorry) but they have pinapple martini's there as their specialty drink, those things are SO potent that they will only serve you three of them per visit..good thing considering they're $15 bucks a pop! Anyhow, they marinate dole pinapple in a big jar with Stoley vodka for 7 days and then pour the martini's straight from the jar..and well, I'm going to enjoy my three tonight while I can They taste like kool-aid they're so smooth!

Chemical pregnancies happen far more than you think. With technology today we are able to find out WAY too early IMO and that's why the number of miscarriages are so huge these days. They say that every woman will have miscarriages in their lifetime they just don't know about them. BUT unforutnately we DO know about them more now because of the advance technology in pg tests. My friend and I have talked about this after she miscarried and she said she found comfort in knowing that it's not her body that's really failing her that many women, maybe even me or the girl next door has had one.....we just didn't know about it because we didn't test that early. Sometimes technology can do more harm than good, sometimes not.

Don't feel bad about the boots. Scotty got UNDERSHIRTS AND UNDERWEAR! Now, THAT'S bad! He has a watch on the way, but still.
