I think we're getting a new house :)
Danalana wrote: Let me give you a little background here. Richard and I only dated for 7 months before we were married...no time to build, and he didn't want to rent. SO, we bought 25 acres of land, and then he decided to buy a single-wide trailor (trailer?) for us to live in until we did something more permanent. I wasn't thrilled, but I knew it would be temporary. Well, here we are...2 years later, and I decided we had to make a move. It took A LOT of prodding to make Richard understand the seriousness of this situation. I had to show him my countdown ticker, and I think that panicked him into it Anyway, lumber is outrageous, so building is not something we can do at the moment. Well, that and the fact that we are having a baby in February! Today, we went to look at double-wides, and I honestly didn't know what to expect. The second one we looked at was gorgeous, and I knew that was the one I wanted. It is 32'X64' (that might not mean anything to you--it didn't to me in the beginning either!) so it's quite large. Almost 2,000 square feet and 4 bedrooms. We might decide to build in a few years, but this will be awesome in the meantime. It really is beautiful! Anyway, I have a few pics that I got on their site. Ours will be slightly different, as far as the wood (we want dark wood) and some other things, but you can at least see what it looks like. Our credit was approved, so we can start the process when we get ready. So here's the pictures...

We're going to have the dark maple wood and black appliances, but this is the kitchen. I love the island in the middle...this was my favorite kitchen out of all the ones we looked at. Oh, the floor will be different too.

This is the living room, and you can see the entrance tot he dining room. Again, there will be darker wood, and the walls will be a different color.

This is from the kitchen into the dining room. Those are huge book shelves on either side of the "windows". that wondow seat will be gone and we will have french doors that go onto our deck (it will eventually be built).
So that's it I'm excited about it....I love the bathrooms and bedrooms, and there is a lot of storage space. I jsut wanna get the nursery underway
Danalana replied: Oh, I forgot the bathroom! I LOVE it The toilet is actually in the "closet" to the right of the tub. There is also a big linen closet and a walk-in shower.
amymom replied: How jealous am I??? That house looks wonderful. Enjoy! I am so happy for you Dana.
luvmykids replied: Beautiful! I think a lot of people underestimate "trailers" these days...they have some of the most awesome kitchens, bathrooms and storage around! Congrats!
My3LilMonkeys replied: I love it!!! That bathroom is gorgeous!
Danalana replied: I know I underestimated them...but I had never been in one. I always lived in a house until I was married, so I never saw one. Thanks, ladies...we can't wait
OH!! Did I mention that they are giving away $400 Ashley recliners if you buy or order a house in November? We are getting the dark brown....I thought it was a good deal, especially since we wanted to get new living room furniture, anyway.
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: omg - its gorgeous! I bet you are so excited -- I'd be. Heck, I'm excited for you!
Calimama replied: Awesome!

Girl buy it!
Danalana replied: I think we're supposed to get with him on Monday or something. We didn't get a chance to discuss what our payments would be, but we pretty much figured it out. With the insurance, it's gonna be a lot. Well, a lot more than we have been paying. We always planned for me to be a SAHM, but I don't know how that's gonna work anymore. We have talked about some stuff, and maybe we still can. If not, maybe I could go back, still part-time, and work from 5-9 in the evenings. That way, he would be home with the baby. We'll see. We really want me to be able to stay home. Hey, people make it work all the time...surely we can do it too.
gr33n3y3z replied: very nice I like it
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Dana that's great! Mobile homes are very spacious! They have really improved over the years. You made a good choice!
