I should stick to the Wii....
MommyToAshley wrote: DH, Ashley and I played hooky this afternoon and went out for lunch and then went bowling. I haven't bowled in a long time... all I am gong to say is that I should stick with the Wii. LOL!
mom21kid2dogs replied: I love going bowling with O!! Those little rails they put up help my score immensely!
Calimama replied: I love those rail thingy's.. it my only hope of winning!
MommyToAshley replied: The bowling alley we went to has upgraded. You can set the game to automatically make the rails come up on certain bowlers. So, only Ashley got the rails. But, I sure did need them..LOL
~Roo'sMama~ replied: That's a cool option. Although the bumpers would help my score, too. I'm not a very good bowler, and the first time I played on the Wii I was just as bad as I am in real life! I have gotten better at it on the Wii though.
gr33n3y3z replied: I agree I bowl a 194 with Wii and 120 something at the alley
sparkys2boys replied: Sounds fun though, glad that you guys spent some fun time together!
Calimama replied: So there's a name for those "rail thingy's"... I've only been bowling twice in my entire life.
A&A'smommy replied: aawwww how fun!!!!
coasterqueen replied: Fun, isn't it? Kylie LOVES to go bowling. It's amazing how she's improved over half a dozen times. I thought that ball would never get down the alley the 1st few times, but she's throwing harder.
Glad you all enjoyed it.
luvmykids replied: Sounds so fun! I love bowling, haven't been in a loooooong time though so if it makes you feel any better you probably would've beat me
ashade75 replied: Hey DeeDee,
Next year if Ashley wants to join a bowling league, the bowling alley up by my house has a really good youth program. You have to be 5 years old. It is 5.50 a week on saturday mornings and they bowl 2 games. They have volunteer coaches that are really great with the kids and they get tshirts and patches for every benchmark. (Like they would get a patch for their 1s strike, their first 50 game, etc.). They also have "in house" tournaments during their regularly scheduled bowling session (like a valetine's day tournament) where they give trophies out. They have a scholarship program, so anytime they "win" a cash prize it is put in a scholarship account for future education. Don't expect them to go to college on it (lol), but Dillon had $43.00 in his account after last year.
Not that Ashley isn't already in enough LOL
MoonMama replied: How fun.
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Ours has that too...unfortunately the last time we went Matt beat me. I blamed Kassie (as I was pregnant at the time) so now that there is no little on inside me I can't go just to be humiliated again.
holley79 replied: It's been forever and a day since I bowled. I have been telling DH we need to go.
Mommy2BAK replied: Oh that sounds like FUN!!! Glad yall got to spend some fun times together!
