I should not have gone so bold

But they looked great on me, or so I thought at the time and they were cheap and new looking so I bought them. Well I was so excited to wear the coral pair of pants this morning to work thinking it was nice to wear something different for a change. Well on my way into the office I started to freak out looking at myself in the windows and noticing CORAL, KAREN WHAT THE HECK DID YOU DO? YOU LOOK TOTALLY NOT GOOD, YOU LOOK TOTALLY OUT OF YOUR ELEMENT. WHY DID YOU BUY THEM?

See this is why I can never go outside my comfort zone. Now I'm sitting here wishing I wouldn't have bought them, even though they fit perfect. I feel out of place today.

Black, of course. So I'm sort of in my comfort zone. I couldn't go spring-y with them. Black makes me feel comfortable for some odd reason so I guess I had to do that, lol. I'm wearing a black short-sleeved shirt (plain, simple shirt) and black flip flops and silver simple jewelry. Nothing special, but I feel like Bozo the clown and everyone will be staring at my red nose (coral pants) all day.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I bet you look GREAT. I know what you mean though every time I wear light color pants I feel odd like I am HUGE and the pants just accentuate the flaws.

It sounds like a very beautiful outfit. with all the hard work you have done I am sur eit looks HOT on you.

jcc64 replied: White's a big color (if you can even call it a color) for this spring/summer season, and I say if you look in a pair of pants, wear 'em with pride. Kwym about looking in the mirror and feeling freaked out when you venture outside of your comfort zone, but take a chance anyway. I learned so much from watching that asinine show on TLC, "What Not to Wear". They put people in things they would never have gravitated to on their own, and the results are always impressive and dramatic. You gotta evolve, especially since your body has!

I'm kinda thinkin' I made a bad choice though, because even my co-worker hasn't commented on them and she comments on EVERY new piece of clothing I get before I ever get a chance to tell her I got something new.

For a summery look you can pair it with a white shirt and tan sandles--I am not a style setter myself so I completely understand feeling funny outside of your comfort zone. The first time I wore flair-legged jeans I thought everyone would think I had lost my mind--even though they looked way better than any other jeans I had been wearing.

I know the feeling all too well. I've just started doing the same thing, but I love it. There are a few things that still make me uncomfortable (like dressing up in dresses )

Anyway, I'm sure you look great! I agree a lighter top will look good with the pants. But I'm so glad you went bold.

Go look in any of the stores, gaurantee you that they have at least 3 different styles in a coral capri!

If your looking to inject some color in your wardrobe I bought a great book the other day. It's based on the show "what not to wear" the British version. I'm stuck in a color rut myself and was looking for inspiration.
