I ruined Tanner's gift to me.... - But it's his fault...lol

TANNER'S MOM wrote: Oh he is so mad at me. He spent the night at his Grandma's last night because I have been working 6-7 days a week. Well I got up this morning with the task of cleaning the whole house in front of me. I got to Tanner's room and I thought I would give it a good cleaning since he wasn't home. I cleaned up his dresser and his chest.it's like a hope chest but he keeps toys and stuff in it. I opened it up and I found alot of jewerly.. like in packages. Cheap stuff but cute. I asked Randy where it come from ..and he said he didn't know. So, I stuck the bag in the girls room assuming Tanner had accidently put it in the toy chest.

He came home went to his room and said MOMMMMM did you clean my room? I said yes it was filthy!! He said where is the necklaces? I said in your sisters room..and he started crying. He had hid them and they were my Christmas present and I ruined everything.

I did feel bad.. but had his room been clean it wouldn't have happened. But Dad told him he would take him shopping this week for Christmas for everyone again.

It was very sweet and he got me the big cross I loved!!

I know your heart probably sank when he got so upset. I can imagine Maddie doing the same thing. Kids are so sweet.

Thinking back, I would've loved to have a mom that cleaned my room. Mine just sat the timer (we never knew how much time she allowed and it was different each time) and if we weren't done or had made LOTS of progress in that time then she came with big garbage bags and REALLY cleaned up after us. The bad thing was, the stuff stayed IN the garbage bags and was set out for trash and we never saw those things again.
