I need help.... - writting a couple letters
CantWait wrote: The first one is one stating that so and so cadet owes so and so much money and needs to be turned in by such and such a date.
The second one is a request for parents to bring a specific food item for the ACR (annual cadet review). Is there anyone that is good at writting and has some free time on their hands.
TIA
amymom replied: Marie, I have similar type letters for boy scouts on my home computer. I will not get to it until tomorrow morning. Is that too late?
CantWait replied: No that's fine. Thank you very much.

Dear So-and-so,
Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make XYZ event a success. We are nearing the end of XYZ event and monies are due on Februmarpril 3, 2007. Cadet so-and-so is responsible for $400,000.00. Please remember the rules for turning in the money so that we can close XYZ event smoothly. I appreciate everyone's hard work and look forward to the rewards our event will afford us.
Yours truly,
Marie
How's that"?... I made it informal considering it seems we're talking about cadets as in "kids."
ETA - I also confused first and third person on purpose so that you could take the final draft either way.

Dear Mrs. SoandsoCadet'sMom,
Our Annual Cadet Review dinner is fast approaching. As event coordinator I am responsible to ensure that the pot-luck dinner has all of the courses necessary to make the evening a success. You volunteered to make pot roast apple ceasar pie. I am writing to confirm that you are going to be bringing this item to the dinner. Should there be any problem with the food item you signed up for, please call me as soon as possible so that we may make appropriate arrangements. Thank you all for your assistance. I look forward to enjoying the ACR dinner with you on Janufebrumarpril 8.
Yours truly,
Marie

amymom replied: Hi Marie, I emailed you what I found, but mine were pretty specific to our troup. I like Ed's suggestions above. He is much more creative than I.
Oh I forgot to sign my email, so hopefully you will know it was from me.

Oh Ed. I know what you were trying to do but GROSS!!!! It wouldn't have been quite so gag inducing if you'd left out "ceasar".
redchief replied: ... wouldn't have had anchovies in it either, would it have?
kit_kats_mom replied: you are seriously disturbed.
CantWait replied: Thank you all. I'm finally getting around to writting these tonight.
redchief replied: Madam, I assure you I haven't got a serious bone in my body. I'm non-seriously disturbed.
CantWait replied: Ok I finally finished them. Reading back on my last post all I can say is holy serious women, not to mention super emotional today. Sorry guys. Thanks so much for the help and the giggles, you guys are absolutely hilarious.
