I need everyone's help with something - About girls pics on Friday
My2Beauties wrote: Ok I'm getting the girls pics done on Friday at Portrait Innovations (I love this place you get your pics back plus a CD the same day)...anyways obviously their first few poses are going to be in their Easter Dresses. I'm at odds as to what other outfit I should pick, they get the choice to change clothes one time. I thought about not changing their clothes at all because that just makes me wanna buy more pics to be honest But if I do decide to change their clothes, would you guys go with a wintery looking outfit or more of a spring/summer type look? I do not have any professional pics of Aubrey in a wintery setting (the last pics I had taken was back in September, they were in shorts and it was pretty warm here still), I haven't had any done through the winter. With Spring coming up and it being Easter I figured the backdrops they have available are probably more spring-like but I could also go with just a plain background as well if I decide to do wintery. I like Spring pics more usually but I don't have any at all of her in a winter setting. WWYD if it were you?
I feel awful, I literally had Hanna's pics taken once every month or two until she was 1 years old, Aubrey is 10.5 months and this is only going to be the second time I've had less money too but still....I don't have as many pics of her. My mom also took Hanna 2-3 times and paid for it as well and she is also having sort of a rough patch this year (who hasn't) so I mean that is part of it.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I know what you mean. I haven't had Ethan's pics taken in years.
If I were you I would just do the Easter pics.
My2Beauties replied: That is sort of what I am thinking, because if I do another outfit, I'll have to go and buy them new outfits...LOL, so more money!
But keep the comments coming guys....
Calimama replied: I would do a summer dress one as well IF it's different than what you put them in for Easter.
Miabella has a regular eater dress than a couple of summery outfits.
momofone replied: You can bring both winter and spring outfits and decide there maybe once you see the back drops that might help you decide.
coasterqueen replied: I'm not sure what to tell you. My girls wouldn't go for an outfit change, they always melt down in the first outfit (at least Megan does). I'm getting the girls pics done on Friday, too and I'm just doing them in their Easter dresses - I'll get an Easter pic and then Megan's 3 year pics in same outfit.
Bamamom replied: You could alway go with jean capri's and white shirts - that's kind of season neutral. Or just jeans and white shirts. I think simple matching outfits are the best.
I get my kids pics made every month or two and I have given up outfit changes - it's just not worth the hassle and whining. My theory is - take about 15 pictures as quickly as possible and then we'll work on cutesy poses/outfit changes/props/ etc.
mckayleesmom replied: I say do Jeans and cute tops.......You can wear jeans all year long....
My2Beauties replied: Yeah I think I might do jeans and a color coordinated top, both purple or something, I'll do short sleeved. Thanks guys!
MommyToAshley replied: Just an idea, but for the second outfit, you could do something a bit different -- cheerleading outfits, beach scene in their swimsuits, dress-up clothes, or even dress them in DORA clothes since they both like DORA. You could call the studio for ideas... tell them you want something different than the traditional setting and they may have some ideas.
It might be fun since you are already getting the professionally posed Easter pictures.
Kaitlin'smom replied: if it were me I woudl just do easter pics. if you do do a change I woudl not worry about winter vs spring. unless your just keeping the winter for yourself, I would not do it.
MoonMama replied: I would go with a spring/summer outfit.
We are taking Braedin's Spring/Easter pics on Friday and are doing them in his Easter suit and then barefoot in overall pants (if I can find some tomorrow) with no shirt or with just a white shirt (haven't decided yet).
MommyToAshley replied: You should get a little kid size fishing pole and a "gone fishin'" sign for the overalls one.
