I need easter gift ideas???
sparkys2boys wrote: Usually I have a dozen things I want to get the boys but this year I am soooo lost and so behind on my easter shopping I have no clue what to get them, its really the first time I have found it hard to buy for them. So far I have next to nothing bought. I have a ton of clothes for them(not very exciting to them) each a computer game, a ball and paddle toy thingy, Logan got a new webkin that he wanted, and Cameron a new baseball and glove set.
That's it
What else could I get them you guys?? They have so much of eveything that I am lost? Logan mentioned that he wanted a MP3 player but do you think he would really use it?? ACKKKKKKKK
Kaitlin'smom replied: okay I almost hate to ask, when is easter?
ps I always buy Kaitlin a new swimsuit, towel(sometimes), lotion flip flops and sunglasses for her basket. I try to do things she need sometimes she gets a dress or 2 (depending on what deals I find) bath stuff, DVD or 2 and a very little bit of candy.
sparkys2boys replied: The last week of March I beleive it is the 23
Kaitlin'smom replied: NO NO NO you mean I only have like a month before it? OMG I am way behind then why the heck is it so early this year?
sparkys2boys replied: Yup.. not much time left
Now you see why I am FREAKING out here
booey2 replied: Wow, that is way more then my boys get. Here they get their chocolate "bunny", usually a character chocolate that they ask the Easter Bunny (me) for, and some other Easter treats. Last year they got a Badminton/Volleyball set between them. This year I may just pick up a swim suit for them each as we now have our easy up pool and maybe some outside toys. But Easter isn't usually about the gifts here, just reflecting on what Easter really is about.
grandma replied: Wow - when my boys were small, they only got Easter baskets. Now you get them bigger gifts too? I'm either sending money or buying my grandkids Easter outfits, to be chosen by thier mommys......for six - that a big enough gift!
MommyToAshley replied: We don't do a lot of gifts for Easter either... a little bit of candy and a few odds and ends toys or craft items in her basket (small things). Although, one year Easter Bunny did get Ashley a pair of roller skates and that was a big hit. Would your boys like something like that?
I must be a major procrastinator. You all are freaking out because it is a month away, and I am thinking that is no big deal we still have over three weeks to shop. LOL.
sparkys2boys replied: Don't get me wrong we have instilled the real meaning of easter into the boys first and formost. They do not think it is all about treats and gifts but in the end they are kids and will only be once, so yes we do both.. the meaning and the easter bunny part of it.
I do tend to go overboard with the kids but they are very grateful for the things they do get and look after there stuff so I have no problem in buying for them! Also before any gift giving holiday I make them go through there toys and give away at least 3 things they do not use anymore to either the Salvation Army or the hospital. That teaches them alot to about sharing and giving to less fortunate people.
grandma replied: Oh I wasn't saying it's wrong, I was just saying how things were back then....
ZandersMama replied: I was selfish this year and got the boys a double wagon It will be much easier for me to pull the wagon then push the crazy bus double stroller. Its a really cool one.

They will get their chocolate too, and an outfit or two each.
sparkys2boys replied: I know you weren't!!! I was just saying that as much as I spoil the kids they do get taught as well!
MommyToAshley replied: I hope my comments didn't offend you, I didn't mean to imply that you didn't celebrate the real meaning of Easter.
I think I go way overboard on Christmas presents. We celebrate the real meaning of Christmas, but I do tend to spoil her at Christmas because well, like you said, she is still a kid. We just don't make a big deal out of the Easter Baskets....we are still trying to recover space from Christmas.
sparkys2boys replied: OK realx people I am NOT offended at all!! Yikes, it would take WAY more then that to do it!!!
booey2 replied: I hope I didn't offend you either, I really didn't mean too. We just feel that Christmas and birthdays are times for gifts and big ones. We too do a purge of their toys and extra clothing with each holiday. Both our boys are very grateful for all their stuff and they realize that sometimes they have too much and are ready to share their gently used items with those that don't have as much as we do. They also help us when we go through the toy bin and help to make the donation.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: I got Alex a frisbee and a little bug catching kit thing at walmart
sparkys2boys replied: You didn't.. not all !!
booey2 replied: Cool, frisbees are good so are baseball gloves and balls, and soccer balls.
grandma replied: Bug catching kits are awesome!
momofone replied: maybe a webkinz outfit there are some really cute ones out there.
