I need an "IN" with a Target employee in my town

Maddie asked Santa for a "Our Generation" horse. This is the knockoff American Girl. I went to Target last week, had the horse in my cart and took it out b/c I wanted to try to find a color other than white. Now I can't find them ANYWHERE IN THE ENTIRE DFW METROPLEX!! And guess what? She WANTED white!!!! Oh I'm beating myself up bigtime!!

I'm checking on line every few hours to see if they got them in stock anywhere around here (we have about 6 or more Target stores around us), but if they get them in they can't hold it. Okay, I won't be snotty...I understand why, but I keep thinking if I had a friend who worked there she could let me know the minute they arrived on the truck so I could race up there and get one.

That's the only thing I have left to buy. I'd love to just be 'done'.

Jamison'smama replied: What if it says "limited availability"? I searched in my SIL's area (Addison) and 5 came up as Limited Availability ...and several as Not Available.

I swear, if it wasn't under the tree wrapped already and she hadn't been trying to figure out what the "big box" was already, I'd send it to you. Last thing she needs is another animal to play with and imitate.

On the changing minds things, Kylie has changed her mind about 10 times since seeing Santa as to what she wants for Christmas. She's asked for things we are not going to get because we are already done shopping so what we did was tell her "well Kylie you already told Santa what you wanted and so he has his elves busy making those toys already and they won't have time to fulfill your other toy requests so you'll just have to be happy with what he brings you."

jcc64 replied: In the same boat, Karen. Corey added a "Wishes Dora" to her list at the 11th hour. I made an effort to find it, but I have no clue what she's even talking about. I feel your pain about being a slave to Target. You all know my Nintendo Wii dilemma. Good luck!

You are nicer than me because I'm not going to go get what she wants. She wants the Little Mermaid Salon. I'm sure I could find it, but I can't cater to her every demand. She changes her wishes too much on a daily basis to do that, unfortunately. Actually she's only getting one thing from Santa that she actually wanted. Santa can't give her a REAL castle, that $250 robot horse (at Target), peace in this world (yes, ) and gosh, I can't even remember what else she wanted that there's no way I can get her. She's getting the easy bake oven and a few other things I know she'll like but didn't ask for.

I've called all the stores in the area that say "Limited Availability" and they are sold out.

I had no idea the darn things went on sale. Of course I didn't get any Christmas money until last week so I couldn't have bought it. Karen you made me feel so much better...I don't think she will really notice with the other toys I got her, kwim? It's just that she asked for 3 things only and there is one other thing on her list that I had to tell her Santa couldn't find. It's a Barbie toy they don't make anymore.

If I can't find it I will wait til after Christmas when they become available. No sense in making myself sick over this.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Limited availability means that they are in the stores, but there aren't many. This does not garuntee that the item is actually in the store. I come up against this a lot when I'm helping people shop from a registry list.

I have to go in tonight Aimee so if you want me to look I can. I can get it with my discount if I find one. Just let me know. I can have it overnighted. We usually don't get many of those when they actually do come in, but I know we got 2 trucks last night. It's also possible that you local Target got 2 trucks as well.

I think the wishes Dora is the Dora that looks like a fairy. We had those a couple of weeks ago, but I haven't seen them since then. I would have never seen them if they hadn't been on an endcap in infants. I even contemplated getting one for Jade.

That's the picture of it. It's pretty big...an 18" doll fits on it. I would take ANY color at this point.

Thank you, Carrie Anne. I check everyday to see if they got any in the night before. They said they are getting shipments in everyday. They are back on the website, but I called and they said it wouldn't get here until Dec 28th.

Ooops! It seems my elves left a package for Maddie at the north pole. When I get back to the north pole I will have them send it to you.
