I might be MIA some this week - really bad news about my dad
3xsthefun wrote: I just wanted say I probably won't be around much this week. Since my dad is in the hospital in tramua center right now.
This weekend was not a good one for us. My dad wrecked his truck very badly(totaled it) Saturday afternoon. They had to fly him to Charleston hospital here in WV because they were afraid he had head injuries.
So far they haven't found any head injuries but he did messed up his face very badly. They had spend 3 hours just trying to stitch up all the cuts and sew his ear. He also has a factured hip. They still had neck brace on him when we left hospital yesterday. They wanted check his neck and stuff before taking it off. Hopefully it is ok.
His face was really swollen yesterday of course that was to be excepted. I know he is really uncomfortable but least he was talking and joking a little.
His doctor said they could find more stuff could show up as the days go by. But hopefully not.
My dad was very lucky and must had a angel with him Saturday. Because we don't think he would had made it bad as he wrecked his truck. And being ejected from the truck he is lucky he does not have more injuries.
Please keep my dad in your thoughts that he will have a fairly quick recovery.

I have some good news, I wasn't home when got the message. The hospital is going let my dad go home this evening. My husband called me while I was in town he said he is going go get my dad. Only thing bothers me is my husband called me around 3:15 pm and my mom wasn't at the hospital yet. I guess maybe she got later start then she thought she would. She may be at hospital by now it is a 3 hour drive for us.
So I am thinking they did not find anything else wrong with him. Which is very good thing and hopefully he will have good recovery.
I'm asking for everyone continue keep him in your prayers and thoughts though. He was drinking when the accident happened luckly there was no other vehicles involved.
He told my mom and aunt(his sister) he was not going drink anymore. He was a alcoholic. I am not even sure if they will give him DUI or not haven't heard anything yet. I hope for his sake and my mom's he doesn't.
I hope no one thinks badly of my dad or me. I was afraid really say anything about him drinking. But I thought I would go ahead and say something.
mom21kid2dogs replied: WoW! Glad to hear he is getting out so fast, although I hear you about that being a good thing/bad thing.
Hopefully this will be the wake up call your dad needs. My mom's best friend (these people are closer to me than my aunts & uncles) was married to an alcoholic. Their son became a quadrapalegic at 22 due to an accident where the son was driving drunk. Neither has had a drop to drink since that day. Sometimes it takes a good scare to get someone on the road to recovery. Best wishes to your dad.
3xsthefun replied: I do believe this was a very big wake up call for him and all of us. I know that I take life for granted sometimes. You just never do know when something like this can happen.
I think my dad will be more comfortable at home. I'm not sure how much time my mom plans on taken off. My dad done told her he wanted her go back to work. I'll try help best I can. I'm not sure about taking girls around him right now. They probably would be scared of him then again they might not. I think when swelling goes down he'll look little better.
iluvmysweetiepies replied: I'm glad to hear he is recovering fast. He'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Isabellasmom replied: I'm so sorry! I'll be sure to keep your father and family in my thoughts
jcc64 replied: Wow, what a trauma, but what luck, really, to be ejected from a truck, and not sustain a life threatening injury. I'm sure his recovery will be painful and slow, but he has much to be thankful for. I'll keep him and you in my thoughts. As for the drinking thing- my grandfather gravely injured himself in a drunk driving accident, and never drank again, and he was a serious, lifelong alcoholic. Sometimes it takes a major trauma like that to turn things around. I wish you and him all the best in his recovery.
gr33n3y3z replied: I'm so sorry to hear about that sending quick recovery prayers for your Dad And hugs for you
Kaitlin'smom replied: so sorry I am glad he is at home. and not to sound harsh but i do hope this was the wake up call he needed. lots of pp&t to you and your family
