It's a pocket diaper, which means that you need to stuff the absorbant part in the back opening for it to work. The pink is a waterproof fabric called PUL (polyurethane laminate), the purple is microfleece, which helps wick moisture away & keep baby's skin dry.

I have some fabric to make a cow print one too. That ought to be really cute too.
