I just saw a really cute movie
mckayleesmom wrote: The Family Stone......it was really good....It made me laugh and it made me cry alot....Its the perfect combo movie.
mammag replied: I'm glad you posted this....I've been thinking of renting it.
luvbug00 replied: ITA loved that movie!
C&K*s Mommie replied: I was debating whether to rent that or MatchPoint back on Mother's Day weekend, when it was Kel and I alone. I have been wanting to see it. Glad you gave a good review of it.
JP&KJMOM replied: Thanks for the review. I rented it Friday and have not had a chance to watch it yet. I will make myself watch it before it has to be back now.
mammag replied: Well, I finally got to watch this last night. I did like it a lot but wished they had developed the relationships better. The parts with the mom and Everett killed me. Or the picture thing......
mckayleesmom replied: Didn't it though?......I still loved it...Im hoping for a part 2. Also...the reviews made it sound like Sarah Jessica Parkers character was the problem....but I really found myself in tears for her because that family was just plain rude in my opinion....Was it just me?
mammag replied: No, not just you. In fact, it became completely unbelievable they were so rude. I was angry when the sister got there and they were all gushing all over her.....reminded me of my issues with my sister....anyway that's a whole 'nother sob story.
I really liked her in the movie. There is just something about her that I can relate to........I don't know, maybe it's the nose......
I ordered it on PPV and recorded so I'm going to watch it again tonight when I stay up late to get some alone time.
mckayleesmom replied: I know...it broke my heart when they were all excited about the sister. They were the rudest I had ever seen. And they were so blunt about it. I wouldn't have made them breakfast...I would have thrown it at them. Poor Merideth kept on trying and trying to please them.
JP&KJMOM replied: I watched it last week after you posted this and I really liked it too. I loved Luke Wilson in it. He gave it the comedy part that it needed to off set the sad parts. Did yall cry at the end?
mckayleesmom replied: I cried during the whole stinking movie.....I cried every time they were mean to her, because I could just feel her anxiety. And when his mom refused to give him the ring for her .
kimberley replied: never heard of it. i will have to check it out.
mammag replied: And didn't you just love how the sister was criticising her when she thought she had done something after spending the evening flirting with HER boyfriend???
ashtonsmama replied: I love that movie!!!
AlexsPajamaMama replied: That was a great movie!
Our Lil' Family replied: ITA! GREAT movie!
