I just made a really stupid mistake

Anyways I was sitting inside here and all of a sudden heard a HUGE crash sound. I go out on the deck and there is the umbrella out in the middle of the yard and glass of the patio table was shattered into TONS of little pieces. 
I can't believe I did this. I didn't realize how windy it was outside I guess. We just spent all of our money on that darn tree and now we have none to replace the table UGH! I can't believe I did this. 
kel replied: oh no!! it was an accident..and they happen..youll get a table soon enough..if not im sure you and your girls can have some fabulous picnics..comfy blankets,pillows etc..could be quite comfy..dont stress ..whats done is done..

BUT its also a good thing that the kids were not outside and got hurt so thats a good thing

You are right, that's how I should look at it. Both girls were inside asleep, thank goodness. Thank you for making me see that side of it. Although that doesn't pay for a new table.  But still thanks I'm gonna tell Dh that one when he gets home and sees it.
JAYMESMOM replied: I am sorry that happened. But yes thank goodness no one got hurt. I do agree you can have picnics on the lawn on a blanket. It will be so much fun that way and you won't have to wash a table.
BTW- you could get an inexpensive plastic one for now until you can buy a nicer one.
Boys r us replied: Oh yikes..it sucks to do something like that..spend all of this money on something to make it look nice outside in your yard and then have that happen!!
Is it a table with a glass top that you can have just the glass replaced in? If so, that shouldn't really be too expensive! I'm sorry!! Sounds like you're having one of my days!!

Walmart has some tables like that for pretty cheap I think the cheapest one is like under 100 bucks!?

The same thing happened with our table this weekend; I forgot to put the umbrella down and it was really windy and fell over. It's not glass though, so no damage done.

b&bsmom replied: Been there and done that. We had the same thing happen here. We left the umbrella up and the glass table into a million pieces. I still have the umbrella and use it tied to the deck post. We still have not replaced the table

ediep replied: we did the same thing last year! The glass was such a pain to clean up, but we got a replacement table at Lowes or home depot because it was a display and they didn't mind not selling the whole set
