I just bought MADONNA tickets for 400.00 - OMG.....I'M HAVING A PANIC ATTACK

CAMSMOM1 wrote: I bought Madonna tickets online for 400.00!!!! ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif And I got high rise seats, and I'm FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW!!! I"m having a panic attack! I couldn't believe I spent that much money on tickets, so I went to TicketMastar in person, and they cant refund my money!!!

I seriously can't breathe!!! ohmy.gif ohmy.gif blink.gif wacko.gif bawling.gif bawling.gif bawling.gif

The part I'm the most upset about is that I had the floor seats, but my computer took to long to submit it and I lost those tickets! And in 2 min, there were no more floor seats! And I could've bought the same seats I'm in for 55.00....OMG OMG OMG...sorry, I've been crying all morning over this. bawling.gif

My MIL is going to kill me for spending that much money! And I don't know what to do, I can't get my money back.

And there are no more cheap seats left to buy.

But my sister is super excited about it. I just can't be excited about it right now. Please tell me I'm not stupid. bawling.gif

What do I do?????

kayla's mama replied: Go and enjoy yourself.

$400.00 for tickets is high but hey we need to treat ourselves once in awhile, right wink.gif

CAMSMOM1 replied: All I've been doing all morning is crying! bawling.gif Cam keeps telling me, "Sorry Mama!" "Cry?" bawling.gif I feel so bad for freaking out. I have never spent this kind of money before, and I am so upset that I didn't get good seats.

And when I talked to Ticketmaster, there were better seats available, and they wouldn't let me switch my seats/tickets!!! Why?? WTH??!!! bawling.gif

My chest is so tight right now, I don't know what to do. My DH keeps saying it'll be ok, you'll have fun, what's done is done. But I am seriously going to throw up!!! puke.gif

mckayleesmom replied: Yikes.....and Madonna isn't even that great anymore....Im not sure I would even pay 50 to see her now....Sorry girl....Maybe you can sell them...or a limb...lol

Momof3inMe replied: Your not stupid!!! We have all done thing that we shouldnt have done. Maybe you can sell them to someone or maybe try ebay. hug.gif hug.gif I hope things work out the way you want. I would love to go and see her just not sure about pirice.

Keep your chin up sweety.

CAMSMOM1 replied: If I sell them, then I won't be able to see the concert. All the seats are sold out, expect for the ones in the same price range that I paid. And I am kicking myself, because I could've purchased them for 55.00. growl.gif I knew I shouldn't have done it online.

And I already told my sister about them, and she is exciting. She offered to pay me for her ticket, but I can't do that. I wanted to do something nice for her, and she wanted to see Madonna so bad, that's all she's been talking about. So reallly this was all for her. I love my sister to death, but I'm so sad at the same time. I could've spent that money on clothes, or something I really needed. KWIM? bawling.gif

amynicole21 replied: If you want to try to sell them, try Stub Hub (probably http://www.stubhub.com or something).

That's a lot of money, but I'm sure it will be a great show. hug.gif

Mom2BNTN replied: First thing.......take a nice slow deep breath..........now again..... hug.gif That is alot of money to spend on tickets, but if your Dh doesn't mind then I think you should just relax and be excited about going to see Madonna. I'm sure you will have a great time once you get there and getting to see Madonna on stage will probably make you forget all about the money you spent. hug.gif hug.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
I would listen to your DH!!! Madonna rocks IMO, and although $400 is a lot, I would pay big bucks to see her any day!! HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!! djdance.gif

kimberley replied: sorry ticketmaster is being stupid. can you maybe babysit or something for extra cash to justify the expense? there is nothing wrong with spending money if you have the cash to do it. hope you work it out. hug.gif

jcc64 replied: Sell them back on ebay. Someone will buy them. Idk, I don't think ANYONE is worth $400, unless $$ is no object.
If it was me, I'd sell them, or at the very least, let your sister pay for her own tix. Isn't $ tight with you guys?

CAMSMOM1 replied: Well money isn't "tight" since we just got our refinancing money. But I've been so frugal with my money, and I am freaking out cause I spent that much over a concert! growl.gif

ilovemybaby replied: That really sucks that they won't give you a refund or different seats. sad.gif
But I think you should either still go or give your sister her ticket and sell the others on Ebay.

CosmetologyMommy replied: Maybe try to sell them to someone?

Kaitlin'smom replied: I am not sure how you spent that much, but it will be ok. just enjoy it. I recently bought some concert tickets and well i wont say what I spent but I get ALOT of perks with them so it was easy to justify the cost.

where did you buy them from? how did it come up to that I am just confused. there shoud be some way to re-gain money back

luvmykids replied: How did the cheap seats go up to $400? The floor seats were $55?

Anyway, thats neither here nor there. You've been waiting a long time for this refinance and you haven't done anything, not even the tiniest little thing, for yourself in forever so JUST GO AND HAVE FUN!!!! And WTG to Justin for being cool about it!

Jamison'smama replied: I'm confused..how did it happen?

ETA hugs and to say I'm sorry that this is distressing

CantWait replied: Can ya try and resell them at a bit cheaper of a price and then get the cheap tickets. At least then it will even out somewhat and you won't be paying $400. That's quite steep. Sorry you got ripped.

ashtonsmama replied: ANN! It's OKAY!
Stop worrying and freaking out...it's a once in a lifetime thing, and it will be SO MUCH FUN! Your money situation will not fall apart because of one concert!!! It's ok!!! I'm promise! Everything will be fine...you're going to have a blast!

My3LilMonkeys replied: blink.gif blink.gif Please tell me you bought at least 4 tickets!! blink.gif blink.gif

Maybe it's because of the part of the country you're in but NO tickets are that expensive around here. I freaked at paying $180 for 2 tickets for the Tim McGraw/Faith Hill concert this summer - but there was no way I was missing that show!

Maybe sell your tickets on ebay/in the local paper and see if you can pick up some cheaper tickets the same way?

gr33n3y3z replied: sell them back on e-bay lol

Maddie&EthansMom replied: If it was 4 tickets, It's not that bad. Even if it was 3 tickets. But 2 blink.gif Yipes.

I'm so sorry you are so stressed over this. Calm down, and you BETTER enjoy yourself! laugh.gif You're paying a lot of money to have fun so by golly, you'd better. biggrin.gif

I hope something works out and you get refunded for most of it though. I'm the queen of buyer's remorse so I know the feeling well. wink.gif hug.gif

CAMSMOM1 replied:

Well what happened was I was using Ticketmaster online, and I was purchasing the tickets that way. So I got floor seats, but it said in very small print that you only have 2 min. to hit submit...and I didn't submit it in time, and I lost those tickets. So I tried again right after, like a minute after, and the floor seats were sold out. And it automatically gave me riser seats, for the same price. ohmy.gif Then after I "bought them" it said that it was 160.00+ for floor OR riser seats. wacko.gif I'm thinking the riser seats I got are right over the floor and close to the stage? At least that's what I"m hoping because I don't understand how floor & riser seats go for the same price? KWIM?
The 55.00 tickets were for the nose bleed section way on the top. After I realized what happened, I called ticketmaster and they were no help. Then I went to Savemart, where ticketmaster is located, and they said that tickets are non-refundable. And I couldn't exchange them for different seats, because by that time the cheap seats were sold out. rolleyes.gif So basically I'm stuck.

And yes, I paid 400.00 for TWO tickets!!! wacko.gif wacko.gif sad.gif

I'm doing much better now. I'm SO SORRY for freaking out guys, I guess it's because I never spend that type of money on myself, and even though 400.00 may not be a lot to others, it's a lot to me. KWIM? But like you guys said, I haven't done anything for myself in a long time, and I should just chalk it up to having a fun girls night out, and relax. I'm ok with it now, but I hate to tell MIL what I spent. She'll freak, I guess that's why I was so upset, cause I don't want that confrontation with her. blush.gif

Thanks for letting me vent. I"m going to try to look forward to the concert now, and I know my sister is really excited. Oh well, this just taught me that I shouldn't spend money so quickly w/out thinking it through. And next time, I'm going to buy tickets in person, and not on the internet. wink.gif

Nina J replied: Not many people get the chance to go to Madonna concerts. I bet there are so many people who would give anything to go see Madonna, so enjoy yourself and don't be upset. hug.gif

MM'sMama replied: Hey if you want to see this concert I say don't worry about it. You'll enjoy it ether way esp. if you let it go. I spent $300 on tickets for a cancert I went to back in Aug. or I should say my parent did and felt horrible esp after that got me a $125 birthday present to wear to the concert. The concert was 2 days before my birthday. There was know was I was going to get to go to it the tickets were sold out but my parents know what I die hard fan they did it without me knowing. But I really felt horrible about it. But you know what I had the time of my life!
