I hurt my nose and DH made me mad! - LOL!

Yesterday morning (early, early, early) Megan pooped so I had to change her. It was just her in I in bed, DH and Kylie were in Kylie's bed. Megan was laying on a blanket that I put on the bed so when I nurse her and she spits up it doesn't go all over the sheets, mattress, etc. Anyways, she was on the blanket and I got up on my knees to change her diaper in bed. When I got up on my knees I guess I lost my balance because it was so darn early and I was so darn tired I fell forward and WHACKED (literally) my nose right on the headboard (that's the part DH doesn't think people will believe because it's too funny how I did it, lol). It almost knocked me out I hit it so hard. I had had my eyes closed as I was preparing to change her diaper and didn't realize how close to the headboard I was.

So after screaming in severe pain I go look in the bathroom, skin is missing from my nose (just a tiny bit), it's turning black and blue and the bridge of my nose (the part that got hit really hard) was swelling. OUCH! When I got ready for work yesterday I tried to cover it with makeup but to no avail...it was very noticeable.

Anyways, it was throbbing all day yesterday and it was in worse pain last night when I was trying to sleep. I just couldn't sleep, I couldn't breath for some reason and my nose was throbbing. So I asked Dh to take Megan into the other room because at 1 am she thought it was party time and I wasn't in the partying mood. So he did but was VERY grumpy about it. I told him to just give her a bottle because I just couldn't stand it and needed to try to sleep. I was completely miserable.

Well around 4 am he rolled back in bed and put the sleeping Miss Megan in her amby. Cool! I get up and get ready for work and happened to ask him how he got her back to sleep without giving her a bottle (I had noticed in the fridge there was still a bottle in there). He said he layed her down on her stomach on the living room floor to play and he fell asleep! He woke up and she passed out asleep ON HER TUMMY! I don't mind if he falls asleep if she's on her back but NOT on her tummy! I was so mad. He got orders to never lay her on her tummy like that and then fall asleep. Thank goodness nothing bad happened to her.

coasterqueen replied: It is funny! This is the second time I've injured my nose badly. The last time it was Kylie headbutting me.

LeaAnn....Dh said people wouldn't believe me because they'd think I was doing something else to accidently hit the headboard.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: That just made me get awful chills all over. I hate bumping my nose. That's pretty funny what Ryan said, though! I'm sorry he put her on her tummy. Bad daddy. Although, that is the only way Miss Maddie would sleep when she was a baby.

Yeah I wouldn't mind if he put her on her tummy because that would be the way she sleeps, but she sleeps fine on her back. That and even though she started rolling over early she pretty much has quit rolling all together (OT is watching her on this) and she will sit there and bury her face into the carpet and not move. That freaks me out! Plus he put her on her tummy to play so he shouldn't have fallen asleep with her that way. But I was nice to him and told him bad daddy, don't do it again.

CantWait replied: Too funny about your nose I only laugh cause one night when dh and I were in bed, he went to turn around and elbowed me in the nose. It was so hard that my nose actually cracked (nothing broken). He was laughing so hard until he realized how bad it actually hurt, (so much I was crying), he was a sweetie though, and got up to get me ice. What a headache I had afterward.

Bad dh, men just don't think sometimes.
