We're paying off some debt, paying off some on the washer/dryers we got in Dec, and saving some.

We'll probably each take like $100 or so & have some splurge $$ but we both got SO much for Christmas there really isnt much we want or need right now...

I'd like to do more fun with it BUT we've accrued a little debt since my ex stopped paying his support, so...

Hopefully he will file his taxes soon, too, and give me the money he owes me in arrears...I'd like to use that to pay off my credit card & maybe save a little for a vacation we want to take later this yr or early next yr.

This year we got ours back from the military on the 18th or so.....Usually its even sooner. They are pretty quick to get them to us.

Companies are supposed to get you your W2's by Feb 1st.

And if you efile, you generally get your return in 10 days

MotherForever2043 replied: I got mine on Sunday(1-27-08). I always go to H&R Block. I paid extra to get mine the same day. I needed the money.

We did that for part of it...for the deposit on the house and stuff....But the rest should be here by friday...We did h&r block too.

lovemy2 replied: Did you efile? When - if you did I can tell you exactly when it will be deposited or if you paper filed when did you do that I can tell you exactly when it will be mailed.

W-2s have to be MAILED by 1/31 - efile is anywhere between 1 and 3 weeks....

Probably because they are a PITA especially if you don't have a program that SPITS them out for you

Ours was LESS than 7 days WOO HOO Im going shopping tonight!!

My2Beauties replied: I've gotten both of my W-2's from both jobs but DH hasn't gotten his yet. We're waiting on our statement for our house too, they said they sent it back in Dec with Jan's statement, but I pay it online, I figured it was a statement and shredded it when I paid Jan's mortgage. They are re-sending it, I called about 4 days ago, they said it could take up to 15 business day So, once we get DH's W2 and our statement on our house....we're going to file. I'm going to efile this year, at the most that takes 2 weeks to hit your bank account.

We have Quickbooks, I went ahead and forked over the subscription money I just hate having to do all the pre-printing crap and never did reconcile the last few bank statements since we were out of business so I had to go back and make sure all the payroll checks cleared, etc

But lets face it.......I put it off anyway, just because I know they signal all the other crap I have to start getting ready for the accountant
