mummy2girls wrote: I came upon that thread about me and i want to apologize for that happening. and i want to apologize to anyone that this may have happened to. I scanned my comp after readin that thread and i did find a virus and i have been getting numerous emails from myself. so if anyone of you get a email from me please dont open it... my emails are stalma@shaw.ca and s_talma24@yahoo.com s_talma23@hotmail.com so if you see any emails from that address dont open it. i am having my brother come and download a software he has and hopefully he can get that virus off of my comp.

I was very saddened to see that thread but what can i do eh? So remember i do not do this stuff to my friends so please remember that.

maestra replied: I didn't get it, but I understand. One was sent to my work that kept sending itself out to the address books (which contained all of us) that they had to shut down the entire network to remove it. That's 32 schools, 100 computers (or more) each. Why do these people get such pleasure out of making our lives miserable! mad.gif

grouphug.gif to you. I know you didn't mean to.

pinka_star replied: grouphug.gif grouphug.gif grouphug.gif You didn't do it on purpose, it happens to everyone. Curse the people that make those icky virus!!! mad.gif

*BIG HUGS*

mckayleesmom replied: No need to be sorry. We knew you would never do it on purpose and if you had known you would have warned us. Personally I think it could have been addressed in a much nicer manner then it was and you are owed an apology.

mummy2girls replied:
Thanks... I just wanted to address it and say im sorry!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: grouphug.gif I see no reason to appologize! I'm sorry that this virus infected your computer, I've had this happen to me many times. I hope you are able to get the problem fixed. grouphug.gif

amynicole21 replied: No apology necessary! It's not like it was your fault or anything - it happens to the best of us! I hope you can get your computer cleaned - sometimes these viruses plant themselves in places you wouldn't think to look and they're really difficult to get rid of. If your virus software gave you the name of the virus, you can do a google search on that name and there are tons of sites out there that tell you how to go about getting rid of them. Good luck grouphug.gif

aspenblue1 replied: There is no need to say your are sorry. It happens to everyone. My yahoo email has been doing some weird things lately also. grouphug.gif grouphug.gif

mummy2girls replied:
Thanks. my brother is a comp major so i am going to have him come over to clean out my comp and get rid of any virus i may have! UGH!

jem0622 replied: You do not need to apologize. You didn't mean it. Enough said. No one should have attacked you in a public forum without privately speaking to you. Things happen. These viruses are crazy.

As always....NEVER open an attachment that you are unsure of. Especially .zip files.

A misunderstanding. Truly.

coasterqueen replied: I completely agree. You did not send it on purpose and you have NO reason to apologize. I think you deserve an apology like Julie said for being attacked publicly. grouphug.gif

I never got the message. wink.gif

BTW, this same thing happened to me last year. As soon as I knew what happened I contacted everyone. It messed up 1000's of people's computers and I felt awful. The message was sent to my boss then he forwarded it to me without knowing and it immediately attacked my address book. It happens to everyone and the only blame here is on the person who created that stupid virus!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: ITA with everything everyone else said. grouphug.gif It's okay! wink.gif

Mom2Boyz replied: Don't feel bad, it wasn't your fault wub.gif

CantWait replied: No need to worry. I've gotten these from friends also unintentionally. wub.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: grouphug.gif I agree with everyone else, we knew you did not do it, or mean for it to happen.

booey2 replied: I am so sorry this happened to you and you shouldn't feel like you did something wrong. This is what happens with all the technology we have today. I just read the thread and felt really bad for both parties involved. Hugs to you.

A&A'smommy replied: ((((((BIG BIG HUGS)))))) we know it wasn't your fault!

Lily replied: Hi Shelly, I do not believe you have anything at all to apologize for. You did not send it to the person that posted that rude thread on purpose. My computer was infected by the same virus. It's really a bad one. I have the most recent and powerful Norton Antivirus software and it is unable to remove it at this time from my computer. However, it is quarintined and therefore can't do the damage that it's programmed to do anymore. Hopefully Norton will make a fix for it soon. And I agree with Julie that YOU deserve an apology for being publicly attacked. That was not right. Big hugs and good luck getting rid of the nasty virus.

Lily replied:
Just wanted to add something I forgot. Tell your brother that this particular virus attaches itself to Norton Antivirus. So it is extremely hard to quarantine. I had to uninstall and reinstall my antivirus software and my BIL had to remove some of the infected files by starting the computer with the emergency antivirus software instead of letting Windows load first. Like I said above, it's a nasty one. mad.gif
