I have officially worn myself out & kind of - freaked myself out a little too....!!!!

Boys r us wrote: So I really had big plans to do up Allie's room in our new house. I mean..girls are just easy to get carried away with and let me just say, her new room..TOTAL DIVA..crystal chandelier and everything! But that got me feeling sad for the boys..I mean, what could I do to give their rooms some Uhmpph??!? So I decided they needed some fun pictures painted on their walls. Then I was faced with the delima of who was going to do them..I don't draw or paint...can't even draw a very good stick man..at least I don't think..heck I haven't attempted to draw anything since probably 1st grade!! Haa (not kidding)

But I got my ideas together in my head and found some pictures and meshed a few ideas together for their rooms..and decided that i was going to do it and if it got messed up..so what..I could repaint the walls right back to the color they were before I started!

So..Tanner's room is a surf themed room and I decided on a coconut tree and a surf shack in there. His bathroom is also beach themed and I drew a adirondack chair on the wall in there and I still have to go back and add some seat oats and clouds to that pic. Braedon's room is a camping/outdoors theme and his bed is actually going to hang from the ceiling complete with tree logs and everything(hard to picture..I know..I'll post pics when his bed is up). So I drew a tree with a bear on his wall.

Anyhow, they turned out pretty good! drawing them was the hardest part..or so I thought..lol..until I started trying to paint them!! I did have my friend help me paint a little here and there b/c it was overwhelming once I got started! But neither of us had ever done anything like this! I think they turned out alright though considering they weren't done by a professional!!!

Braedon's room- when his bed goes in, there will be a log bolted horizontally across his wall, so that when his bed swings it won't bust a hole in the plaster..the bear will be "standing" on the log, as opposed to suspended in the air like he is now, lol!!:

Boys r us replied: and just because I'm super excited that my island in the kitchen turned out more beautiful than the pic I gave the cabinet maker to go by..I have to share a pic of that!!

Boys r us replied: oh and in case you're wondering(since I posted that poll about the light blue or the coral in the kitchen...I went with coral.. I decided it would be more of a warm and cozy color in the kitchen. I did light blue in the master bedroom!
