Boys r us wrote: been to work all week!!!! I feel so horrible! I went to the dr on tuesday and they swabbed me and confirmed that I have the Flu. OMG..let me tell you, everyone says..oh I have the flu..it's a word tossed around so lightly..I'm almost 30 yrs old and I can tell you I've never had the flu before or felt this bad in my entire life. I feel like I'm on death's doorstep! My whole body burns it aches so bad and I have so much congestion in my chest that my stomach is so sore that it feels like I've done 500 crunches a day when all I've done is cough constantly my nose won't stop running, I've had a fever of 102- 103 all week until yesterday afternoon, then woke up and it was back this morning. oh I just don't know what I'm going to do. I ache so bad that I walk like a granny. I can't take Tamaflu b/c I'm preggo the only thing the doctor said he could give me are these pills called duradex that are just like a stronger form of robitussin, but it honestly just makes me feel worse b/c it makes me cough more and it hurts so bad to couch, heck it hurts to breathe.

AS soon as they offer them again, I will be first in line for a flu shot!

I've had the flu several times in my life (and, yes, it was the real flu - not a term I throw around)....so I can TOTALLY RELATE to how you are feeling. I hope you are feeling better soon. Rest up and take care.

ediep replied: I had the flu twice and it is horrible! I can totally relate!!!! Last year, when I had the flu, I was in bed for days. Dh had to take days off from work to take care or Jay, who was also sick.

I had the flu...(just like you described) when I was pg with maddie. OMG! I thought I was going to DIE and couldnt' take ANYTHING for it. It was awful. I haven't had it since.

It's so annoying when people say they have the flu, but really they just have a cold. I've had the flu once, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. Get plenty of rest
