I have good news and bad news

My2Beauties wrote: OK I had a weekend from h-e double you know what. First hearing of my friend's baby, then the weather was awful, I had a terrible sinus headache, and then to top it all off, I come home Friday from work to sit down and relax and our CABLE WAS CUT OFF *freaky horror movie sounds and a woman screaming*!!!

Ok so Brian and I laughed it off, BTW we never paid for cable for the past 2 years, when we moved in it was already on, we figured the other person never had it turned off, turns out they had it rigged, they finally caught up with us

Anywhoo - the good news from all this is we ordered our cable that very Friday, digital cable at that and we got the triple play package which means digital cable, phone, and you guessed it.....

*drum roll*

I'll be on the internet now.............

I am so happy, so now on Thursday evening I will be able to join you guys via my home computer! So nice! I'm finally coming into the times!

3_call_me_mama replied: Sounds great! I LOVED it when we got high speed rather than dial up. But there isn't a broad band option fo rus so we had to get the sattellite version. but at least now i can be online all the time and not interrupt the phone and such

JK...once you go cable or DSL you can NEVER go back. I'd rather not get on the net at all then get on dial up!!!

We have a double package, dsl and home phone and it's supposed to be like $75/mnth but then rick opted for the highest spd he could get and then a static IP address and all of this other crap and by the time they throw on their 10 different taxes and stuff..it's well over 100 bucks a month..what seemed like a good deal isn't so grand..lol

My2Beauties replied: For the digital cable, phone line, and the cable modem it's $90 bucks a month plus tax, with tax she said it's approximately $107 and some change per month, I guess that isn't bad for all those services. This rate is guaranteed for one year, then it goes up to like $110 a month without taxes.

Yes everyone beware, I'll be lurking at night now.

That's me, too. I hate having to get on the net at my mom's house. My cable modem seems slow to me sometimes, so you can imagine how I feel with dial-up.

Sorry you had a crummy weekend, but I'm glad you have cable! Have you watched Noggin yet? Hanna will love some of the shows.
