I have been wanting to post this all day - I had the worse morning SUPER meltdown
TANNER'S MOM wrote: I don't know what was wrong but it didn't go off well.
Tanner was Okay last night.. really tired. He went to bed early. Slept in my bed...because Randy is on nights again.
I got outa the shower and went to get him up.. He wouldnt get up... Finally after repeating it 100x's He gets up SCREAMING...
Daddy Where's Daddy..
I said he is on his way home.. he is going to drive u to school but I have to get u dressed..
I tried to get him to take a shower.. He screamed DONT U KNOW MY ARM IS BROKE..sat down in my bed room floor Indian Style..and screamed and cried for what reason I have no idea.
He has never done this before.... he has never been a screamer. To be honest I had to go outside..b/c I was fixing to set his hinny on fire. He wouldnt do anything..
I called Randy freaking out b/c I had to get ready for work..so he dealt w/him.
He didnt have breakfast or nothing.. he was gonna have to eat at school. He hates there ceral..Randy said he asked him to stop and get him a biscuit and mile..Randy said he told him Not after the way you treated Momma. I will take you to school.. But you have to be ready when I get home.
It was awful scene..and it doesnt happen often. He is 7 you know???
WTH????????????????????
booey2 replied: Wow, he sounds just like Matthew (who is also 7) when pulls one of his fits. Hugs to you, you are not alone here. Hope your evening is better.
A&A'smommy replied: Oh Mel I'm sorry that does sound awful!!!
moped replied: I am sorry - maybe he just wasn't ready to get out of bed..............Jack was really sleepy this morning and cried when his dumptruck wheel fell off - never seen that before.
Sorry mel - I am sure he will apologize when he gets home!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I'm so sorry to hear that...hope you have a better tomorrow!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Mel- Is he taking anything stronger than tylenol like codene(sp?) or anything because I know with our friend's son who injured his foot so badly, was taking a strong pain med and he was VERY hard to get along with!
s to you girl! He will be ok later tonight and maybe you can get him to expain what was wrong!
My2Beauties replied: HUGS hon - I'm sorry! I hope it was just a one time thing
Debbie replied: I have all this to come! I hope you have a more relaxing evening.
DansMom replied: Oh, my 7yo nephew is a total sweetheart most of the time, but I've seen him fly into a weird rage over nothing too. It can be very jarring to wake up during the deep part of your sleep---maybe he wasn't quite coherent at the time. I hope he makes it up to you tonight and is his usual sweet self.
julesmom replied: My oldest son will be 7 this week. He is going thru exactly the same thing lately. He was outside playing today and I told him time to come in. He gave me an attitude. So, I walked him in. He sat in the LR and started mouthing off to dh, who sent him to his room.
I was outside and you would've thought ds was being beaten! He was screeching and screaming! Holy cow. DH didn't even touch him! DS kept it up while he was alone in his room.
I don't know, maybe this is some growth spurt or independence thing?! It's like they turn 7 and revert back to 2!
I just can't wait for school to start.
kit_kats_mom replied: oh man. Sorry he was such a twit. I hate starting my morning off with a fight.
NummyMommy replied: Awww so sorry for you....that just doesnt sound like him at all.....I can't help but think of when I have a really intense and realistic nightmare it sticks with me.....maybe he had a nightmare and hadnt quite shaken it yet? I cant tell you the times I've yelled at DH for being unfaithful when it was just a realistic anxiety nightmare oops! Its something like night terrors I think...my oldest gets them when hes sick as well. Hopefully it was a one time fluke.
CantWait replied: I'm really sorry, it sounds awful. It sounds like you handled it like a pro, I'm not so sure I would have done the same (I probably would have set his hiney on fire LOL ) Coodles to you.
