I have a picky eater - my husband.

Danalana wrote: It's so frustrating sometimes. I love all kinds of sauces and condiments. He loves boring, dry food with no sauces or condiments. He has to have bread, in some form, with everything. We had spaghetti one night, and I forgot to boy garlid bread. We were out of bread, period. He lined his plate with crackers! It's just weird. He doesn't even like sour cream or any of the things that make food soooo good. It makes me sad.

moped replied: Well Tom isn't like that with condiments, but he ONLY likes meat and potatoes - we don't even have pasta in our house - NEVER...........meat meat

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Lol that's hilarous about the crackers with spaghetti!! emlaugh.gif I used to be picky that way - the only condiment I ever touched was ketchup. tongue.gif I like more things now but I am still kinda picky I guess. tongue.gif

grapfruit replied:
I'd die w/o pasta. smile.gif I'm Italian tongue.gif (well 50%)

hoosier momma replied:
This is my husband. We do get to have pasta as a family on occasion though. I can sneak it in every few weeks now since my son loves it too.

MyBabeMaddie replied: At least you cook for him - I don't cook... period.. I'll burn the house down

msoulz replied: Don't be sad. It is OK for him and that's what matters. I have been labeled "picky" by many but I prefer to call it discerning. And he and I may just be a supertaster, so there!! tongue.gif Supertasters!

Yeah, I like being super! rolleyes.gif

Miranda1127 replied: i read the title and thought omg that is so Steve. he wont eat anything green (except broccoli), or many other fruits and vegies. the only fruits i've ever seen him eat is bananas and apples. he will only eat crab, tuna fish (in the can) and salmon (as far as seafood goes) and that is rare. he is a meat man for sure

MoonMama replied: cool.gif I'm the picky eater in my house. blush.gif

Although in my defense, I had to learn to eat and find stuff growing up that didn't have black pepper, almonds, or peanuts. I am deathly allergic to these things, hence we like never eat out.

Cece00 replied: Luckily neither me or DH are like that. We love food, hence us both being slightly overweight rolling_smile.gif

But some of you guys are nicer than me...I saw that Jen said they never have pasta & stuff....you should tell your husband like I tell mine:

"Sometimes I will cook stuff you like. Sometimes I will cook stuff you love. Sometimes I will cook stuff you hate. But that is what is for dinner. Eat cereal if you dont like it."

There are a few dishes I really like that he hates...but if I never cooked them, I'd never eat them...and he isnt the only important one in my house, so sometimes he eats cereal rolling_smile.gif

Danalana replied: *sigh* Hopefully, I can get this figured out.
And Sarah, I don't cook a lot. I do love to cook but lately I don't feel like doing anything.

We always, always, always have two choices for dinner around here.....take it or leave it biggrin.gif

Farelle replied: HA!!! Mine is just the opposite! I'll make a nice meal and he get the ketchup and smothers it!!! I don't know which is worse! tongue.gif

Mommyof3 replied:
LOL! rolling_smile.gif

Mommyof3 replied:
Okay, that's what I meant to quote!

HuskerMom replied: I used to be pretty picky but not so much anymore. My hubby will eat absolutely anthing I cook. The only thing he doesn't care for is scalloped potatoes.
