I had to take Brae
Boys r us wrote: to the doctor this morning, he has ANOTHER ear infection. We saw a different dr today and she was very concerned that he's still getting ear infections once a month..huh..imgaine that..so am I..but I seemed to be the only one until now! So she scheduled me pretty much an emergcy appointment tomorrow at 10:30am with the best ENT in this area..so..we'll see! I'm a little nervous that he'll say he needs tubes, I mean I think he needs them..but it still scares me a little..the thought of him being put to sleep.. I know it's very routine..but the mommy in me worries!
I'll let ya know tomorrow what the ENT says!
GavinsMommy replied: My 4 yr old sis had tubes at infancy...her EI's were so bad that her ears smelled rotten when they drained.
He'll be fine
A&A'smommy replied: UGH poor kid!!! They will more than likely say that it is tube time but don't worry too much my neice is having tubes put in for the second time thursday, she felt awesome the first time she had them and she was only 18months (((((HUGS))))) maybe he doesn't have to have them though, let us know hun!
Boys r us replied: My friends little boy just had them and he puked all day from the morphine, I just hate even thinking about it..but I know if he needs them he needs them, ya know!
taylor&zachsmom replied: Both of my kids have had tubes in their ears. My dd had them at 6 months old and my ds was 8 months old.
They both did great under the anestsia (sp?). They wake up kinda crankey but they are fine.
The ear infections got much much better after that. My ds doesn't get them at all. My dd did once in a while after that. But when she did , she would have an ooze come out of her ear and then I knew that I needed to put ear drops in her ears. And it would clear up soon there after.
I hope all goes well. And just so that you know it isn't as bad as it sounds...

gr33n3y3z replied: If he needs them no worries And he will be very sore when he wakes up but it will go away fast
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Nichole I will be thinking of you. Remember that kids heal so fast. 20 mins after the surgery he will be bouncing off the walls. I had 2 friends that just had their one year olds get tubes. They feel 100% better after the surgery.
Give Brae a big hug. Poor little guy.
mommy2owen replied: Poor Brae!
ediep replied: awww, ((((big hugs!!!!)))) I am sure he will be fine Good luck!!
coasterqueen replied: Ugh, poor Brae. I hope you get some answers tomorrow and that he gets feeling better real soon.
kit_kats_mom replied: poor little guy. I hope he feels better soon & whatever you guys decide works.
kimberley replied: oh no! i hope he is feeling better soon. ((hugs)) to you both!
TANNER'S MOM replied: Oh I totally UNDERSTAND... My Brittany had tubes when she was little, and Tanner had his tonsil's out. It wasn't the procedure that scared me ..it was the going to sleep part. I just cried and cried.
It made me soooo sad.
But Brae will be just fine. It is harder on us then it will be on him!

Kaitlin'smom replied: well I hope your getting answers today, poor bre
My2Beauties replied: Hanna had tubes ta 6 months and she did fine. They only put them to sleep for 10 minutes - the surgery takes all of 3-5 minutes, when they wake up they are cranky because they feel sort of whoozy. Then they go back to sleep for about 2-3 hours and when Hanna woke up she was as good as new. She is 17 months old (on the 14th) and hasn't had an EI since! Brae will be just fine!
