I feel terrible - we had a BAD night last night
Kaitlin'smom wrote: it started ok got Kait her Milk before bed (yes it was chocolate) and off to bed ok. I was just thinking of getting to bed myself when I hear her cry (around 10:30p) it was the kind of cry I knew i needed to go check on her, well when I did she had puked all over her bed, and did a few time while I was starting to clean her up. So long story short I slept maybe 15-20 minutes last night HAD to work since boss had hip surgery and my co-worker is his wife, called the sitter at 7:30a she was okay with me bring Kait to her for the day. Kait cried the entire 30 minutes to the sitters she was tired (she did not sleep much either) and did not want to go any were. So I am at work till 6p I am guessing she is with the sitter, doing okay had not thrown up since 2:30a and is keeping water down. Its going to be a long day. Sorry for any typos might nto be around much. Oh and the kicker her getting sick MY FAULT the chololate milk was bad (pass the x-date by 5 days ) Thing is not to excuse my self in any way I never thoguth about checking the date cause we buy milk every few days. I just dont remember who bouth that choclolate milk, cause I usually check the date at the store, and I am always checking other dates on things like cheese, cottage cheese, yougart ect I feel like a terrible mommy for not checking the dates and her getting sick.
luvbug00 replied: Aww poor baby! I think that everyone has one of those days yesterday seemed to be a bad day for EVERYONE!!! ( read the posts!) Hope you have a better one today!
DansMom replied: That is a rough night! Tonight will be better!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Don`t feel bad - it could have been soemthing else.
Most foods 'expiry date' isn`t actually an expiry date - it`s only a date the markets put on them to limit the freshness guarantee. If you buy something, and it goes bad before the 'due date', you can bring it back to exchange or for refund.
Actually - milk, yogurt, bread etc.... is still 'good' for a suprising long time after the date.
Eggs can keep for months in the fridge. At least they do at my house... same with yogurt. We buy the minigo or danimals stuff for kids - they last for about a month after the due date.
Please don`t feel bad - a lot of people waste a lot of money because of ths 'due date' thing.... it`s only for the stores.....really really.
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Sorry for your bad night but to second what Zach's mom said milk is good for 7 days past the date on the bottle, past that it is a sniff test.
Sarah&Mackenzie replied: awww I am sorry you had a bad night. Tonight will be better!!!

ediep replied: if she doesn't have a fever or diarreah or isn't vomiting anymore, i am pretty sure it was the milk. Now thats its out of her system, she may just have a little tummy ache but she'll be much better!!
DOn't beat yourself up, I have done that too!
Kaitlin'smom replied: well no fever, and so far no more throwing up, I was going to call and check on her hear soon, I really wish I could have stayed home with her or at least she could have thats the part that really makes me sad is that I could not take care of her today, she just wanted to stay home.
thanks everyone.
Josie83 replied: O no!!!!! I really hope you have a better night tonight Di xx
MommyToAshley replied: Sounds like she just had a bit of a tummy ache.... at least her body got rid of it quickly. How did she do at the sitter? I hope she is feeling better.
