I feel so crappy today....I`ve been having off and - on contractions for a couple days....
Hillbilly Housewife wrote: At first they were just Braxtons. They probably still are... but they`re becoming more and more painful. Well not painful - but kinda like a dull throbbing when my belly gets hard.
They`re around about every 2 hours. That`s when I`ve been noticing them anyways... I just had one, and it was a big one - it lasted like 45 seconds and my whole belly got really hard, now my lower back is throbbing. Not painfully - just...throbbing.
I really want to go home!!!

coasterqueen replied: Could be the real ones. Take care of yourself and rest as much as possible. I had bad ones in my 7th month and the doc thought I was a freak. Megan ended up coming a month early. I think if she would have believed me and put me on a bit more of bedrest I might have made it longer.
kimberley replied: that sucks. well, not long now. i am already getting braxton hicks too . hope they ease up a bit for ya and you can go home soon. keep us posted!
luvbug00 replied: Um I only went thew birht once but it sounds real. Ahh well Hope you can get some rest too.
jacobsmama replied: Have you called your dr??? If they are painful they could be real full blown contractions and they may not want that quite yet for you...You need lots of rest now.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Well they`re not really painful. I notice them - but they`re not painful....it`s more like...I can`t realyl explain it any better than this:
You know when you get embarassed or whatever, and you blush - the warmness creeping up your face feeling.... it`s like that, only it's around my belly and into my ribs and lower back......
it's just an odd feeling.
I sure hope it`s not the real thing. As ready as I am go get this baby OUT, I'll still allow her to use me as a punching bag for 6 weeks if she`s willing to stay...
I have an appointment next week - I see my Gyn every 2 weeks now.
amymom replied: I think you should call. I know they are not painful, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I will call them tomorrow morning... I'm just too sentimental to go to the doctor's on my son's birthday!!! besides - it's almost 6pm now and they're closed.
Tomorrow it will be!
We'll see what he says.... they're about 90 minutes apart now... I really do hope this isn<t the real thing. Maybe I'll take a hot bath later.... that usually stops false labor, doesn't it?
amynicole21 replied: Drink two glasses of water and lay down on your left side for 45 minutes. If they continue, they are real! Otherwise, you might just be dehydrated or over-doing it. Take it easy!

I was that way too. It was my dads birthday july 1st and we had plans and I snuck out to the "grocery store" ( hospital) really quickly. 10 hours later (and 5 or more weeks early) came the Mya.
Not trying to scare, just my story.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Thanks....I will!!!
Dh is giving the kids a bath right now, I just finished clearing up after dinner...dishes etc... I think that after we put the kids in their rooms for the night (after their bath ) I'm going to take a hot bath myself, then I<ll drink and lie down!
