I am sooooooo sick....
jacobsmama wrote: I was waiting for it and last week it showed up and each day it seems to be worse. I had nausea/vomitting with Jacob until 30 weeks!! I was really hoping this time would be different.
I get up in the AM and I am feeling nauseated then I cannot eat anything until about 2PM or it will come right back up!!
As crazy as it is being this sick already, I wouldn't trade it for the world knowing what the reward is at the end.
I have been trying ginger and my doc gave me RX but I dont really want to use it. I am hoping it will pass by 12 weeks..HOPING..lol I am also doing pepcid becacuse we recommend that to alot of our patients.
ANy suggestions that worked for you?
stella6979 replied: Ugh. I remember those days. I never got physically ill, but I was nauseous all the time. Unfortunately I don't have any suggestions, but wanted to say I hope you start feeling better soon.
jacobsmama replied: Thank you. Like I said I would take it all for the baby in the end but it is hard to say that when I am praying to the porcelain goddess each day!! lol
A&A'smommy replied: don't drink water when you feel sick that made me sicker blech ms sucks and I felt the same way I was excited because i knew that I was growing a baby I hope it will pass as quickly as it came
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Just make sure you do eat something. Anything is better than nothing. I went without eating b/c nothing sounded good and I ended up fainting in the grocery store.
It will ease up.
maestra replied: Zofran, unfortunately, is the only thing that helps. But I also have a history of hyperemesis. I also try to never let my stomach get empty, even if it means eating something in the middle of the night.
moped replied: Ahh yes the magical 8 week pukies!!!! That means you got a good strong baby!
I am sorry you are sick - take the prescription your doc gave you!
boyohboyohboy replied: the only thing that ever helped me, and it might have been mental, but who cares it worked..were those sea bands. sorry, this is the worst part...I had it with all three really bad.
ZandersMama replied: ginger ale was all that really worked for me
mckayleesmom replied: Ditto to this. I had morning sickness with Mckaylee all the way up to 2 weeks before I had her. The only thing that helped was on the few occassions when I would get up and eat something before I felt hungry. If I felt hungry and ate something..I was guaranteed to throw up. I usually got up and ate one of those little packets of oatmeal at about 5 in the morning when dh was getting ready for work.
Crystalina replied: Ditto! It may make you feel better and it will not hurt the baby. This part and the last 2 mos. is the worst. I hope you enjoy the middle part.
Ginger did not work for me. I did try and eat light crackers in the morning but then I found that crackers coming back up were not pleasant. My sister takes Dramamine and I started taking one Benedrhyl. It worked great but I tried to only use it in the evening d/t the kids. My ms was alllllllll day.
my2monkeyboys replied: Sorry you're feeling so rough! Those sea bands actually helped me a good bit, too. That and keeping away from foods that made it worse (mexican, chinese) and drinks that were carbonated make me puke, too. Hope you get through it soon and it doesn't last all pregnancy!
jacobsmama replied: Thanks Ladies!
Last night before bed I took my Prenatal, Pepcid and pheneragan.
I woke up GREAT this am!! LOL so thank you for all the good thoughts.
I am going to do the same tonight and see if we can keep up this lucky stream. I have zofran and pheneragan. The zofran is really expensive here so I was just going to use it sparingly and the zofran makes me tired.
But Thank you for the good thoughts, today I am able to eat! lol
Thanks!
maestra replied: That's funny that the zofran makes you tired, because the phenergan made me really tired. I took it with Jaci. Zofran is fine for me. It's funny how different people react differently to medicines.
Lately I've been having the again because I have a cold with sinus drainage. The drainage is gagging me in the morning, and upsetting my stomach.
The zofran was expensive for me at first, but my ob's office wrote 3 appeals for me, and I finally was able to get a 3 month supply for $20. I was in shock! Now the nausea seems to be wearing off, and I have a ton of meds left. Maybe my ob would take the left overs to give to another patient? They are in sealed bottles of 30 pills.
Calimama replied: Oh you poor thing. MS was the worst. I'm glad you woke up feeling good today, hopefully that trend continues.
Bamamom replied: Lemons and salt seemed to settle my tummy a bit. Enjoy the days when it isn't so bad!!! It'll be over soon and you'll be to that good m iddle stage of pg.
jacobsmama replied: Thanks again ladies, I think the phenergan and pepcid at night is helping me feel better in the AM. It is only lasting until 10-11 and then I am able to eat, so that is good.
Sorry about my earlier post I meant to say the Phenergan makes me sleepy not the zofran! lol That is why I am taking the phenergan at night.
Just glad to be pregnant and working on a healthy baby!
Calimama replied: You have such a great attitude. When I had MS I was a little um.. grumpy.
jacobsmama replied: It is NOT always easy!! LOL, but I have to remember what I am working toward!
LOL
punkeemunkee'smom replied: That is how I feel too! I will do this nausea bit all day long for the next 9 months as long as we have a healthy strong baby!
jacobsmama replied: Wow Girl..dont wish it on me that long!!! or you for that matter! LOL
