I am soooo frustrated!!! - with my OB nurse

She was like......"you know breastfeeding can cause you to m/c" and then she said "Do you even know what that means?" By that time I was furioius, and I just said yes, I know what it is, I've had one before, and I guess I'll just take my chances because I'm not just going to stop b/f in a day. It's not fair to Conner or myself. As soon as I get off here, I'm going to call a new dr. There's no way I'm going to see that woman once a month for 7 or 8 more months.

When I got in to see the midwife I made it VERY clear that it is not my plan to wean her, and she was perfectly fine with that. I think your nurse is just misinformed and you should ignore her.

I hate people who are so misinformed. And the scary thing is, some people might heed their advice, because they look to them like authority figures, and THEY don't know ant better either.

kimberley replied: i would be furious! glad you are going to look for a new dr . that kind of misinformation is what has first time healthy moms in a scheduled c-sec because their OB has a golf game .

I am sorry you had to hear that from her. It's traumatic to be told BF - STOP NOW for any reason.

I don't know anything about BF while preggo so I'm guessing she is misinformed due to the other mom's posts. Sorry you had to deal with that woman. I would find someone else ASAP!
