I am so sick of cartoons!!!!!
coasterqueen wrote: Since Kylie is sick and well, not up for playing we are watching entirely too much cartoons, movies, etc. I'm so sick of them I just wait for every moment she's asleep just so I can watch something else. I'm going out of my mind!!!
How many times can one person watch Shrek and Nemo??????
Kaitlin'smom replied: I will trade you (only cause I have yet to see either one all the way through) I get stuck watching Scooby ALOT
ediep replied: I sooooooo know what you mean....When Jay was sick last week he only wanted to watch Barney. He was becoming a Barney addict!!! I was going out of my mind!!!
coasterqueen replied: Okay, Edie...you are the winner here because I should be thankful I've just been watching Nemo, Shrek, Jo Jo's Circus, Higgleytown and Dragontales. We only watched Barney once and I said NEVER AGAIN.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Lol I'm with you there... when my nephew and neices were little we watched Barney with them all the time and I hated it! The kids on that show are so annoying!
loveydad replied: Oh man I can't watch the same things over and over and Nickolodean and Disney are AWFUL for showing the same thing over and over and over!! I can't stand the same movie over and over and over either. That's why we've got so many movies. I buy a lot of movies and sell them if they're awful, we have family movie night so I either rent one off payperview and record it (woops! LOL) or buy one and I cycle them. When they watch one, I take it and put it in the bottom part of the entertainment system (it's got a top place wtih two shelves and then a bottom place for movies too) and they know they can only pick a movie from the top shelves.. That helps me a lot, then I don't get sick of the movies so fast.
I HATE scooby doo the kids aren't allowed to watch it on the big tv if I'm there. For one thing is basically a stoner character and I get sick of the voice. Barney is okay, because my daughter really likes it and I just tend to tune it out. PBS has some GREAT cartoons like berstain bears, arthur is a favorite of ours..ect. PBS is really good about that! But I cannot STAND Between the LIons I hope she gets better soon so you can you can watch something more ...mature... LOL
coasterqueen replied: LOL Thanks Vig! I went to the video store tonight and got 3 different movies for her to watch...I figure by the weekend's end I will be sick of them but at least for now it's a change.
A&A'smommy replied: OMG I can kinda feel your pain we usually (not right now we don't have satelite yet) start the day with a few cartoons and then if she keeps watching them I don't get to watch my shows oh well lol I hope you finally got to watch something else. Btw I hope she feels better soon, are you sick too?
coasterqueen replied: Knocking on wood I'm not sick yet, but I keep thinking SOMEONE has to get what she has. She's been sick since Wednesday and it's Saturday...I just can't imagine us getting lucky enough not to get it. I hate to say this but I hope it's not me.
Kolesmom replied: Blues Clues, JoJo's Circus, Wiggles, Dora, Bear here. Those are some of the ones that catch his attention long enough for me to put in a load of clothes or do the dishes. But he doesn't watch any of his shows after 1:00pm. Thats Mom & Dad's TV time.
mummy2girls replied: Jenna is this way also. but with her its BARNEY!!!!!!! and blues clues. barney was getting on my last nerve!
loveydad replied: No prob. The store we used to live by had a five for five deal. When the kids were sick I'd rent TEN movies for 10 bucks - it was nice because by the time I had to return them I'd only watched them all about twice or so.
Josie83 replied: Well this is coming in a little late Karen but I am feeling your pain. Whenever Kate comes over to play with Cassie, she comes with the Wizard of Oz tucked yunder her arm. I used to like that film . . . not any more. I'm sure her mum (my sister) does it now just to annoy me. And its not like you can forward any of it, she KNOWS if you skip it! So I am really feeling for you Karen! xx
loveydad replied: I hated that movie when it first came out and I hate it now.
Break it Josie you KNOW you want to! Just step on it by accident. "Whoooooops." Then bribe the stores to stop selling it. I suggest blackmail.... Then, go the the big wigs and threaten them.
Why do you think Elmopaloozo stoppe being sold in stores... yeah, taht was me.
Josie83 replied: Now that is a good idea! but I don't want the blame for the damn thing being broken. Mayb I could drop Cassie on it She's too innocent-looking to get the blame for breaking it . . . maybe I'll try it. Seriously, though, I hate it. And every time I have to hear it I hate it that little bit more xx
loveydad replied: *laughing* you're so funny.
atlantamomof2 replied: Joshua watches Baby Einstein videos. I used to think they were so great and now I actually dislike classical music (at least the songs that are on the videos) because I've heard them soooooooooooo many times!!! I used to LOVE classical music, but ugh! Maggie likes Blues Clues, Winnie the Pooh and Veggie Tales. At least I can have her watch one in her room while she plays if I just can't handle hearing a movie for the one thousanth time! (We switched the t.v. into her room just before Joshua was born because he slept in there a lot of the time) As far as my t.v. viewing-it doesn't happen anymore!! I occasionally get to watch 15-20 minutes of Dr. Phil at 5:00 but then I have to start dinner and it's all over until 8:00 when they're in bed. There aren't but a few shows I'd watch during the day anyway, come to think of it. I'd rather get on the computer now if given a few minutes of free time.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Heh... same here. They are SOOOOO overwatched at my house, it's not funny.
I can quote pretty much both those movies in their entirety.
Sad, huh?
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I agree, Arthur is great...my daughter really likes it...she's 14 months, and says :
"attuh..." when she sees it on the tv. Lol!!
I also can't stand between the lions... i think it's such a dumb show.
