The certificate says:

This certificate is being awarded to you for being nominated as an Ambassador of Peace. You are a shining example for others to follow, in promoting peace to those around you!

Then the accompanying letter from her teacher said:
I nominated Ashley for the Ambassador of Peace Award because Ashley goes above and beyond to help other students in need. She can always be found helping a student, whether they have dropped their entire supply bag, or just need cheering up... Ashley is there. She is an excellent role model for others to follow.


They only choose one student each year to be the ambassador of peace, so I am really really proud of her.

I figured it must have something to do with "keeping the peace among students" or something to that effect but I wasn't sure so I thought I'd ask. How amazing to be so helpful and important in the lives of other students that one would be the only student out of a whole school to get such an award.
