My3LilMonkeys replied: I am the same way! DH hates surprises, so he usually ends up getting all of his Christmas and birthday presents days ahead of time.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I know Dee Dee. Logan and Ashley share a birthday and I have been cleaning out his toys in anticipation of the new ones. Thank heavens I haven't had time to shop yet. I'd be in the same boat.

C&K*s Mommie replied: so.... what did ya get her? I am impatient about gifts, too. I guess that is where my procrastination comes in and is a good thing for me. Being anxious about giving a gift is kept to a minimum, I wait to the last minute to buy and let the excitement build after then.

coasterqueen replied: I used to be that way, but this year I've been a lot better about waiting it out. Dh makes me wait it out because Kylie's at that age where she think she should get something all the time and that's because I would give her things early. So now I must wait.

I broke down and bought her the Dora Talking House. It's the only thing she ever asks for besides a real cell phone. (And, she's not getting a real cell phone)
She wanted the Dora Talking House last Christmas but we got her the kitchen as her big present. I was hoping the price would go down. The Dora house went on sale at Amazon with free shipping, so I bought it for her. I just hope she plays with it and doesn't get bored with it easily.

Yeah, we do get hit with Christmas stuff right after their birthday. I did the same thing yesterday.... I cleaned out three big crates full of toys and one box full of books that she's outgrown. Too bad I didn't do that before I bought her presents because I am sure that would have cut down on my spending. At Christmas, we will give some of her toys away to charity, so at least they go to good use.

I was hoping to wait till christmas/birthday to get Kait her new bed but I dont think I can take much more of being woken up 2-3 times a night or finding her on the couch in the middle of the night or in the moring.

holley79 replied: You are as bad as I am. When I got my Christmas present from Kelly and it was sitting there, DH would laugh each time he walked past it knowing I was dying.
