Yep that's what they are I'm loving it!!! Conner has already spilled juice on it, mushed a banana on it, and drew on it with a pencil and it all came right off.

same thing I was thinking, Jen. I have heard of 'floating floors' as far as being over padding, and not glued down. Kinda like laminate. But I am confused here to what are the floating floors here??

That is exactly what it is. IT's laminate flooring with padding on the back. There is no glue used at all, which gives it room to shift or expand. IT just snaps together kind of like a puzzle.
