I am so embarrassed! - I passed out in the grocery store!!
Maddie&EthansMom wrote: I went to the grocery store this morning. I didn't eat much last night and had nothing to eat this morning before I left. So there I was walking through the store feeling faint so I try to make it to the deli to sit down. I didn't make it. Everything went black and I slumped down by my cart in the frozen section. The grocery manager went and got me a chair and some water and the pharmacist and his wife (who happened to be visiting her DH) brought me a snickers. I explained that I was pregnant and went too long without eating. They all understood and figured that was what was wrong. The grocery manager's wife is 6 mos pg he said.
I moved myself over to the deli and sat there and ate the snickers....Maddie was with me. She helped me eat it. She just kept saying "what's the matter momma?" So I had to explain to her that I didn't feel good...blah blah blah. I got up and finished my shopping and when we walked past the frozen section she said "mommy, where's your chair??" She is such a sweetie.
I got home and just cried. I felt like such an idiot. I knew I needed to eat before I left, but I never thought I would pass out. Still soooooo embarrassed.
Thanks for the shoulder.
mummy2girls replied: Dont feel bad..i did the same thing when i was preg with my son. I was in safeway and i was waiting for my friend to checkout. i all of a sudden felt dizzy and then BLACK. i opened my eyes and realized i was laying on the ground and passerbyes were hovering above asking if i was ok...
it was embarrasing but scarey!
jdkjd replied: Stop beating yourself up!! That kind of stuff happens to everyone once in a while. Esp. when you are more concerned with taking care of everyone else.
Just take better care of yourself and throw some granola bars in your car.
Mommieto2Girls replied: Oh no, that's awful. Be sure to eat before you go next time. I'm glad you are ok and nothing happened in your fall. Try not to beat yourself up over it though.
aspenblue1 replied: That is so embarrasing. I am glad you are ok.
Kaitlin'smom replied: oh, I am glad your okay. Take care of yourself, like someone suggested carry granola bars or something in the car or purse.
big hugs to you
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Glad you're ok!
maliksmommy replied: So glad you are okay, that must have been scary!!
Guest replied: You poor thing.....My mom always knew whe she was pregnant cause she would faint....She fainted in the mall with me...
DansMom replied: That dizzy about to faint feeling is horrible. The granola bar in the car idea is a good one! And you deserve some pampering, it sounds like.
A&A'smommy replied: hey im so glad your alright!!! That must have been horrible!!! yeah you should definitly keep something with you when you go somewhere just in case!!!!
supermom replied: So glad you are alright and didn't hurt yourself when you passed out!! Please take good care of yourself, most of us have BTDT so you can rest assured you are in "good" company!
and one for Maddie, too!
MomToJade&Jordan replied: You poor thing. I am glad that your feeling better. I did this while I was pregnant. I was home at the time, but it still was bad. I decided to get all the stuff ready for the beef stew I was making in the crock pot instead of eating. I remember saying to DH that I was going to pass out and he was holding me up and talking to me and then everything went black. he was still talking to me when I came to. From that day on I made sure I had something with me at all times.
coasterqueen replied: So glad you are okay and didn't hurt yourself and that Maddie didn't get scared by it. Take good care of yourself, keep some granola bars like suggested or something with you at all times
paradisemommy replied: gosh - most important thing is that you are ok. i know it's easy to get sidetracked and to forget to take care of yourself but it's not so easy when there's two of you!!
so glad you are feeling better...
CantWait replied: awwwww hope you're feeling better. Don't be too hard on yourself, we're all quilty of not taking care of ourselves at some point. Cheer up and feel better

CantWait replied: opps computer did something, sorry for the double post.
Heather replied: Oh no. I am glad you are okay. Maybe you should carry little snacks around with you just incase you miss out on eating again. You must have felt terrible.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Yeah, all it took was 2 bites of that snickers bar and I felt tons better. I will be sure to take something with me from now on so that doesn't happen again. I was just running around all morning focused on getting things done (since I now have the energy) and forgot that I NEEDED to eat.
I called my mom when I got home and cried to her. She told me to eat and rest some. She called me a few minutes ago to check on me. DH seemed concerned. I'm glad he will be home early tonight. I took a little nap and still feel pretty shaken up.
Thanks you guys for all the support! I really needed that!
ediep replied: I am glad that you are ok, thats scary. I always kept granola bars or fig newtons in my purse when I was pregnant....just in case, because I have a tendency to get that low blood sugar feeling
MommyToAshley replied: <<HUGS>> I bet that was scary! I am glad you are ok, that's the most important thing. And, don't feel too embarassed, I bet those stores are used to stuff like that happening.
Get some rest and take care of yourself!
dolfinrse replied: Glad you are okay now
MomToMany replied: I'm glad you didn't get hurt, and that all is well now. It's hard to focus on yourself sometimes, BTDT, but it does have to be a priority since is on the way. Keep some snacks stashed in your car/purse; you never know when you might need them. Don't be embarrassed; it happens to a lot of people.
amynicole21 replied: So glad you are ok, and you were actually in a place where there were lots of people around to help you! Imagine if you were driving??!! I almost passed out when pg a few times while driving and had to pull over to the side to pull myself together. Very scary!! Don't be embarassed, though! Not one thing to be embarassed about!!!
