I am just so sick of ebay!

I needed to get a swimsuit for Megan for our Memphis trip. I found one brand new and it was an auction or a "best offer". I submitted an offer because I wanted it and didn't want to wait, I needed it quickly. When I made my offer I specified that I would pay immediately for the item and needed it shipped right away. The seller accepted my offer. That was on November 5th (9 days ago). I got an email last week saying it was shipped out via USPS priority mail. Still not here. I checked my email a bit ago and I get a new email saying it's ready for shipment and will be shipped out tomorrow! ARGHRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHH! I need the friggin' suit before I leave early Thursday morning. WTF is wrong with people?????????

So either Megan's gonna have to go naked in the pool or she won't get to go swimming I really despise ebay these days.

amymom replied: Aww I am sorry. What if you just got her those swimmies made by pampers (don't know the name of them) that the kids can swim in. She won't care and if you want her top covered a little tee shirt will be fine. Don't fret ... your trip will be wonderful!!!

Yeah, I know I can do that. The bad thing is the she will grow out of the suit by the time I'd use it again so I bought it for nothing then. It just peeve's me off because the person has over 3000 rating!

I'm sure you can just put her in some Little Swimmers like Anne said with a t-shirt or just the little swimmers would be fine too. Don't worry she won't care!

I'd leave neg feedback, or at least a nasty email about how you wasted money since it wasn't shippen immediately like she promised.

I agree about the swimmy diapers. Just put her in them and she'll be fine

All while you have spent the money they paid you on other auctions and they now have merchendise that they pretty much sold and ebay/paypal wont do anything to help you!!

I've never sold anything on Ebay, but I've been lucky and never had problems when I buy. (Knock on wood). I hope I didn't just jinx myself because I am waiting for a new bed canopy for Ashley.

Have you tried the stores? They are just as cheap as auctions and the items are usually brand new. I usually get hard to find stuff or stuff that is cheaper than retail around here.

I thought about selling some stuff on Ebay, but now you all have me scared.

coasterqueen replied: Well of course the guy said that they had a family emergency. Just my luck I get a death in the family and a family emergency all within a 2 week period. He said that it would be here tomorrow, so I'm assuming he pulled the item from being picked up by the post office in time to overnight it? All I know is if it isn't here tomorrow negative feedback coming his way! I don't care if there was a family emergency. He could have dropped it off at the post office or something - don't send an email saying it went out if it didn't, kwim?

He also told me if I look at his feedback I would see that this is not normally how he does business. He does have a very good rating, but still.

But I always try to send out the items with in 4 days of the payment being received. Unfortunately, weather, family biz, and financial stuff have gotten in the way lately, and a couple of my things will be 5-6 days late. So maybe personal matters have just gotten in the way of mailing things out to you. I know it sucks, and I have a bathing suit for a little girl if you want it. lol

If so and the agreement was that it ship priority ASAP after payment and they did not ship it then or the method promised then paypal will make them refund your money. Just a thought. I would not leave positive feedback though. But be careful because if you leave negative first they will do it to you!

I sold all my maternity clothes in one auction for about $75, all good work clothes, nothing wrong with them at all. The woman paid for them, I shipped them, she e-mails and tells me she wants her money back b/c there are stains and rips all over them (These were the clothes that I wore to work everyday, so do you think they really look like this). Anyway, she disputed through Paypal and they found in my favor, but now she has disputed through her credit card company and they have taken $75.00 out of my paypal account, so now I am negative in my account also.
