I am going bonkers!!!!! - Where is the snow plows??????????

We can't go anywhere, not even out of our driveway to go anywhere to stay warm so if the power goes out I guess we'll sleep in the car til the gas runs out, WHICH both Dh and I have under a 1/4 of a tank. We were so unprepared, not like us.

Where are the freakin' snow plows? They come through at least once in the morning and once at night, and not one has come thru. The city is keeping their roads clean. as soon as I hunt the road commissioner down I'm chewing him a new one!!!!!!!!!!! I pay over $4k a year in taxes for schools and roads, why aren't my roads clear, at least once today. We've been staring outside all day long trying to see if the plow comes through so we can follow it to at least go get some gas.

Ok, I just needed to vent before I lose it!

So i don't know if I have ever seen that much - now i understand why you are "snowed in".

See, here it will snow a little then nothing, then snow a little then nothing and that will go on for months - then it will melt and then we get a few flakes, so over the course of a whole season we won't see that much.

When it is too yucky to go outside I like to bake!

TANNER'S MOM replied: Well here I am snowed in too..but I have the 4 wheeler so that helps. I understand about you being nervous I went to the store on the way in and stocked up on propane and everything .just in case.

For us its not about the snow.. snow is snow..but the ice is why we can't get around..so i feel your pain I really do.

Yup, it's the snow freezing or melting then freezing, although the first day of the storm the snow was just too deep. I hate the feeling of being trapped too Karen, hope they got you plowed. Today was the first time in three days we could get out.

Yes, the biggest problem here is ice. We have a lot of ice under the 7 inches of snow. The snow really isn't the problem it's definitely the ice, BUT when the plows don't go through it makes it that much harder to get through the snow because of the ice.
