Keep your positive attitude girl!
coasterqueen replied: GL! A friend of mine took this and did well.
jcc64 replied: Good for you, Lisa! What a big step! If you feel your resolve weakening, remind yourself you're doing this for your kids. Sometimes, we moms can't do things for ourselves, but we'll do just about anything for our kids, right? Most kids who take up smoking in adolescence had parents who were also smokers, and then there's the second hand smoke. It's all good, Lisa. I'm really happy for you. Good luck, hon.
luvmykids replied: Just take it minute by minute....a recovering alcoholic told me once that if you tell yourself you can't ever smoke again it will make it harder b/c that sounds too overwhelming. He said take it by smaller chunks, like "I won't smoke for this hour" and when that gets easier, make it longer periods of time.
I know it's hard, I've yet to quit for good, I seem to be able to quit for short periods, like a few months but end up starting again. I have to quit for good, I'm psyching myself up.
Hang in there, it will be tough but once you do it you'll be so proud of yourself
lisar replied: Your right. Both of my parents smoked. And I dont want my kids to smoke and i know if I do then they probably will to. And I want to do it for my health and my kids. I wanna be able to be here for a long time with them. And I am tired of spending the money on them. If me and dh quit we will save $60.00 a week. Thats alot of money. He can just put them down. I cant do that.
Thanks everyone I really appreciate the support.

lisar replied: It is making me HYPER!!! And I mean hyper. I cant sit still and when I do smoke its like I am getting no pleasure at all from it. I am only on the second day of the med. so we will see. And it wears off by about 8pm and the cravings get worse. But it does help with the cravings.
avory&samsmom replied: Good Luck and hang in there ~
momtoMegan&Alyxandria replied: That wasn't the case for me. My parents didn't smoke but I started when I was 12. Well, my dad did when I was real little. I don't remember it, but dad said I asked him right before he left for a 6 months cruise if he was going to die because he smoked. He quit the day he pulled back into port and hasn't smoked since then (to my knowledge).
Now my DH's family: dh's dad smokes and out of the 6 kids 3 smoke and 3 don't.
My2Beauties replied: WTG GL to you.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Good Luck! That's such a great thing!
