TANNER'S MOM wrote: I don't know why but I always want to do more.. It seems like I never have enuff money or TIME to get what I want done. This is what I have gotten him so far.. Is it enuff I don't know??
I know money isn't the issue...but it's just that I want to give him the world too..u know. Am I the only Mom who feels this way?
New chaps $200.00 New Straw Cowboy Hat New Riding Gloves New Spur Straps New Rigging Bag Magna Doodle 5 PC John Deer Farm Set Multi Tool Plier Set ( man he loves those) 2 PBR bull and riders figurines and two pair of jeans and two shirts.
OH and I got him this weird thing I thought was cute. It is wash clothes in the shape of fish..they are really small and you get them wet and they bloom and grow. It is neat..
We are also taking him to locomation..It is a local fun area w/ a few friends tonight to celebrate his bday and ride the "BULL"
Tell me if I am crazy to worry about such!
Kaitlin'smom replied: I think he is gonna have a GREAT birthday, stop worring he will love what you got him. No more needed
mammag replied: I think that's quite a bit.
I feel the same way all the time though. With 4 kids it's hard to give them everything I would want to. But, in reality, they have more than they know what to do with. The problem with me is I compare it to people who have 1, like my oldest sister.....but I think she goes way overboard.
Yeah, I know the feeling.
5littleladies replied: I think he will be more than happy.
My daughter's birthday is tomorrow and after reading your list I'd be embarassed to say what we are getting her , but I know she will be happy so I'm quite positive Tanner will be happy.
MommyToAshley replied: WOW! Those are great gifts, I think he is going to be very excited! Be sure to take lots of pictures!!!
moped replied: That is more than anybody I know gets - including Jack........
A&A'smommy replied: OMG what a BLESSED child to have a mother like you to spoil him seriously i NEVER EVER got that much for my birthdays not from my parents anyway my gift usually consisted of a party anyway don't worry he is going to be one happy child!!!
gr33n3y3z replied: You did great Mel Dont worry
CCTandME replied: WoW!! He's a lucky guy. My daughter go SOOO much less for her birthday. I felt bad, but she wasn't the least bit disappointed.
GavinsMommy replied: Are you joking Mel? The chaps alone cost more than most people would get total in gifts! My mom is RICH and I wouldn't even get that much! Funny, she buys me everything when there is NO occasion, lmao
I used to feel sad about not being able to give Gav everything...until the other day when I was watching Countdown to Armageddon on the history channel and saw how lucky we are to live in a house, drive a car, go shopping for things to decorate our houses....most people in the world can't even worry about those things. I don't know...I just realize how lucky I am to have been born to people who live in this country...or anywhere like Australia, Britain, Canada, etc. We're richer than 75 % of the world if we live in our own home, own a car, blah blah. Very lucky.
Don't worry, he is going to have a great day and you got him PLENTY!!!!!!!!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Wow.
My grandparents have money to burn.... and the biggest most expensive gift I ever got was a matching pair emerald necklace and ring, which probably cost them about 1000$. But that was for my 21st birthday, and Emerald is my birth stone.
I think that other than that, the most expensive gift I got was astove fan, value of 179$.....as a kid, I only got 1 present for my birthday...that is...1 from mom, 1 from dad, 1 from my grandparents, 1 from my other grandparents, and 20$ from my godmother.... lol
I'd be doing flips if I got presents of that value!!
As for my kids..... I get them lots of presents, but little things.... that will amuse them... like coloring books and new crayons, funny little soaps, chalk... chocolate, clothes sometimes, books.... but I don't usually spend over 50$....ecxept at Christmas, then I spend 100$
Lucky GUY!
kimberley replied: i agree.. WOW! definitely more than my kids get. i am sure he will be thrilled!
