I am SO mad at Bogie!
luvmykids wrote: I don't know for sure what happened or why, I have a feeling it was over Harley's Jolly Ball, but they got into it and Bogie tore Harley's ear
I called them in for the night and saw one side of Harley's face totally covered in blood, I really freaked b/c I thought Bogie did a number on him and it turns out it's just his ear but still....Bogie is such a stinker, he takes that stupid ball and doesn't even want to play with it, he chews on it for a second and walks away, and when Harley goes after it Bogie rips into him.
Calimama replied: Man they are tearing each other up!!! Poor doggie.
MoonMama replied: Oh man....poor Harley!
luvmykids replied: They've actually been doing better and better as far as normal day to day hanging out...they play a lot together when I'm feeding and they sleep together, if I let Bogie in he barks until I let Harley in too. It's just these oddball things that set Bogie off and I'm so mad because I'm the pack leader, they're supposed to bring their greivances to me
Calimama replied: Maybe you should set up a therapy session with Caesar the dog whisper.
luvmykids replied: LOL...we're working on it
We've made progress, Harley tells on Bogie all the time It's just Bogie who thinks he's above the group sessions
Brias3 replied: OMG, those two are really something else, huh? I hope his ear gets better soon!
A&A'smommy replied: ICK poor Harley!!!! Dogs are such a pain sometimes!!!!!
mom21kid2dogs replied: Dudley (our cocker who was 11) used to do that with Bailey, whom we rescued as a 7 week old pup but grew to be 3X as big as Dudley. It was definately a hierarchy thing. After a while, if he's smart, Harley will get that he's dog #2 and just leave it alone. It only took a couple of scrapes till Bailey got it. Then it was actually pretty funny to watch. Bailey would grab a toy (usually one Dudley hadn't touched in years) and Dudley would just growl. Bailey would immediately drop in and lie down. It was darn humorous given their big size difference to see such a big dog bow to such a little one. Never a dull moment, eh, with kids and dogs!!
sparkys2boys replied: Awwwww that's terrible.. did you send them to time out for fighting?? C'mon now you have to because you did send me a Denise to our rooms for fighting..lol. I think in time this all should pass with them fighting, it's still new for them to be around one another yet!
luvmykids replied: As a matter of fact, I did Bogie had to sleep on the couch in the garage. I know he's the big dog around here but I couldn't clean Harley up with Bogie in the house so he got banished
People think I'm crazy for letting two labs be house dogs
3xsthefun replied: Poor Harley!
