I DON'T KNOW WHY!!!!!

DVFlyer wrote: Why... why.... why.... why... why... why.... wacko.gif

Chloe is in extra "why" mode right now.

The latest was while we were watching TV. The screen said, "for dawn". I said, "oh that's nice, someone made this movie for someone named 'Dawn' ". BIG MISTAKE!

"Why did they say for Dawn?"

"Because they made the movie for Dawn"

"Why did that make a movie for Dawn?"

"Well, maybe it was someone special in their life at the time"

"Why were they special?"

"Maybe it was someone who was important to them like their daughter or wife".

"Why were they important to them?"

"Well, some people, like you are special to me, like to show people they are important to them and maybe they wrote on the movie so that person would know they are special?"

"Why...."

I DON'T KNOW!!!!!!!!!!

lisar replied: Do like I do, after about the tenth "WHY" I say because and the she says
Because WHY
And then I say
Why do you want to know?
and she normally walks off at that point.

She is only 3.5 though.

coasterqueen replied: It hasn't ended yet with Kylie at 6.5. rolleyes.gif I have this feeling it never will. wacko.gif happy.gif

DVFlyer replied: ya, I usually end it with "why do you think?"

This was an extra wacko.gif moment though. biggrin.gif

BAC'sMom replied: I am sorry to say the why's don't go away as they get older. The questions just get harder to answer... so enjoy her while she's young. hug.gif

My2Beauties replied: rolling_smile.gif Sorry to laugh at your expense but I'm getting a mental picture of your face as this is going on and it's hilarious!

A&A'smommy replied: rolling_smile.gif UGH i know the feeling my 5 year old STILL does this its annoying but I TRY to answer all her why's because I KNOW she is "learning" from them rolleyes.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif

lisar replied:
Ya I see it the same way but after the 20th or 50th "why" I cant handle it. LOL

DVFlyer replied:
No need to be sorry... I laugh while it goes on too.

And as long as you are picturing my face like wacko.gif or blink.gif you pictured it correctly.

biggrin.gif

DVFlyer replied:
I think that's what's scaring me the most.... I won't be able to answer the questions. biggrin.gif Either that or she'll know when I'm totally faking an answer.

Brias3 replied: My now 8-year old was a "why-er" too. She has now transitioned on to, "Well, how do you know... rolleyes.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: Brooke has been a "Why" kid for almost two years now....the internet is my friend. tongue.gif At least once a week she gets the answer "I don't know why, let's look it up online" emlaugh.gif

She is moving on to more complex questions though....we had takeout for dinner tonight at my MILs along with this conversation:

Mommy, what are these containers the food is in?

They're Styrofoam.

What's Styrofoam?

Well...it's stuff that they make containers out of because it is good for carrying food.

What is it made out of?

Umm....I'm really not sure, Brooke. I think mostly chemicals and stuff.

What are chemicals?

Just eat your french fries... tongue.gif rolling_smile.gif

DVFlyer replied: Why are they called "French" Fries? rolling_smile.gif
