How's this for cold ?????

Bee_Kay wrote: Our forecast through tonight and tomorrow (and possibly saturday) is dipping down to 50 to 60 BELOW ZERO with windchill !!!

That kind of cold is impossible to describe to someone who's never experienced it. The easiest description it, it's so cold that it literally hurts to be outdoors!!!!

I live in Minnesota

jacobsmama replied: ouchy!!! That is way to chilly for me! wink.gif

CantWait replied: Is that C or F. Here in Alberta, it was -41 C durning the day with the windchill. Big difference from last week when it was +12 C. sun.gif

Bee_Kay replied: fahrenheit

moped replied: Yep it's about that cold here as well.............It is -31 F, I just converted it - YIKES

luvmykids replied: B-B-B-BRRRRRRR! Thats the kind of cold where I feel like I can't even breathe. Hope you're ready to hunker down!

kayla's mama replied: OMG that is cold. I think I would hibernate if I lived there tongue.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: Anything below 0 is too darn cold for me! tongue.gif

mummy2girls replied:

huggybugboy replied: wow! Im cold when it hits below 50!

Bee_Kay replied: I woke up just a few minutes ago and checked the temperature...

47 below !!!! BBBbrrrrrr!!

Mom2BNTN replied: Now that is COLD!!!!! I have mostly always lived in Tennessee myself and haven't experienced the temp being that cold. I feel sorry for the ones who have to get out in the weather when it is that cold!! I can't stand for the temp to get into the teens. Hope you are staying warm!! hug.gif

Bee_Kay replied: Yeah, we are seriously considering moving down south somewhere!! Both DH and grew up here!!

PrairieMom replied: thats booger freezing weather! tongue.gif

mckayleesmom replied: I just came from DULUTH....we moved to Kentucky about 9 months ago....I don't ever want to go back.... laugh.gif

Bee_Kay replied:
LOL! I know!!

I had always heard that it can get so cold that when you spit, it freezes before it hits the ground.

Soooooo, it took me until I was a mom to try it a few years ago.... and it's TRUE!!

I told my son and of course, that made me a "cool" mom (LMAO) and he had to go out and try it. rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

MamaJAM replied: I love the cold...but that might test even my limits. hug.gif Stay warm.

coasterqueen replied: It was 65 degrees yesterday y'all and it's FREEZING 25 degrees now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTH????????????? BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

C&K*s Mommie replied: come on down! My MIL made a comment once out of the blue, that she was moving up north. My FIL gave her a puzzled look huh.gif , it was during one of those heatwaves we have in the summer, and they had no AC at the time. I cannot handle the heatwaves, but I would much rather tolerate that, than any ridiculously cold weather like 50-60 below! ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

Bee_Kay replied:
Oh heck yeah I will !!

I'm not stepping out unless absolutely necessary.

Plus, both my DH and I have automatic car starters on my car and his truck.
So, I just stand in my warm house, hit a button.... wait, and make a mad dash to my warmed up car smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied:
Lol I was just telling Dh the other night I want to hibernate. Right now here its -5, -30 with the windchill.

5littleladies replied: I just checked and it's -10. I have no idea about the windchill and I don't think I want to know. tongue.gif I'm in MN too. Barb where abouts do you live? I'm about an hour south of the Twin Cities. happy.gif

Bee_Kay replied: I am a couple hours north of Duluth.

I just checked the temp and it's -22F and -48 with windchill!
